  I'm really pleased to see the evolution of cryptocurrency beyond just Bitcoin. LTBcoin is a great new application of the technology that should be closely watched by the community. Will be a pleasure to watch!

  Double checking that XCP is only needed if one wants to trade LTBcoin?  Otherwise we don't need XCP.

  Thanks, I'm aware XCP can be bought at those places.  But if one is NOT trading LTBcoin, just holding on to it, will XCP still be needed?

  No but it seems that this being the first major XCP use it might create value in the network token.

  "XCP itself is necessary for a few features: bets, derivatives and callable assets. So if you want to use that functionality, you need Counterparty's native currency, XCP, itself."  So I gather, if one wants to do fancier things with LTBcoin, like derivatives, then XCP is needed.

  I think this is an awesome idea. Realizing it takes an audience to have a successful show and being willing to support them as well.
  
  I'm in the process of starting my own business and plan on taking cryptocurrencies in the future. The LTB network has really helped educate me on what to be aware of in that respect.
