    @cryptonaut

    @inigthz So, can you limit characters if less than x, the system not counting value ltb??

    Did you struggle with it, right?? :D

    we can technically do that yeah, but im not sure if that will solve the problem because thats still really easy to get around

    At least they think twice before not useful post.

    So, they're fully aware.

    @Cryptonaut

    What've you done with the following

    1. The 3 sub-forums I've PMed you about

    Trash Can, to move thread there

    Team Board, so all the mods./helpers talk there about anything "Private"

    Complain/Feedback Center, where members complain or post feedback about LTB related issues.

    1. when you change any thread, in that drop-down menu, I see sub-forums that not visible for the public, bug?

    2. Now, when I bury someone post, the counter of the post is not decreased by -1

    Thank you.

    @kerneloops has been working on a draft for the site rules and policies. check it out here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1m62cFEqgiRVC0OKS5lvPJhIbRI_Z2v2OGPGN98WbKh0/edit?usp=sharing

    It seems that every new post is all about getting and selling LTBc, and less about actual participation in a conversation. I propose two levels of account - new accounts and approved accounts. New accounts do not accumulate points for Proof-of-Participation. They have to earn approval by actually participating first and becoming approved. They become approved by vote (10? sponsor members) of other approved members. If an approved member sponsors "bad" new members, they lose their approval.

    The incentive to too high right now for new members to join, spam, collect and sell coins. We need to remove/reduce the incentive to remove the spam.

    a pretty similar idea to that has been proposed already actually. basically a reputation system, so you basically need to be upvoted etc. enough by other members (and not downvoted / flagged for spam) before your rewards start accumulating

    The important part is reducing the incentive to spam. Maybe even just a few week delay is enough - a probationary period?

    I would hate to see the forum turn into what bitcointalk used to be where new users were unable to take part in the community to the same level as everyone else. (For the new bitcoin members you used to only be able to post in the newbie forum until you had been active on the site for I think it was 5 hours and had 5 posts in the newbie forum when you joined there)

    I like the idea of having a reputation based system but I would hate to see new members put off by it and simply not join us.

    To be clear, I would not want to restrict anyone's participation in the least, only remove/delay the LTBc reward as the incentive. The incentive becomes getting a good reputation (being a good citizen first) to enable the LTBc reward. Currently the incentive is to game the system.

    I think the idea of having some rules and regulations put into place was a great idea. There are so many people out there simply spamming the site. I think there are way too many referral links on this site. I would have to agree some of these referral links are a great idea. However, I must say there are way too many. Every day it seems I am getting the same referral link from different people. You know to the same site. If we have more rules put into place, then we can ensure that the quality of the posts will fulfill the mission of the site.
