While most altcoins are getting slaughtered, LTC shines propelled higher by Litepay and a new fork. Bitcoin continues its gains as well but stopped short of a new rally. Bitcoin Higher but Stops Short of New Rally Bitcoin prices traded even higher si...

Re: What should be added to the forums?
Could there at some point in the future be a feature to suggest to users material which they may be interested in? I'm talking about tailor-made suggestions to suit individual users, possibly based on their previous "likes" for articles/posts/podcasts etc.
An algorithm could be written to match together groups of users with similar "likes" in order to enable suggestions for material with a high chance of suiting the individual user's interests.
I got the idea after reading a comment from @shopnhowler here:
@shopnhowler Glad to hear so many people with a common problem :)
Do we have any other similarities? Are there ways of filtering and distributing content according to our similarities? Like, @Doogy has an interest in NXT, Counterparty, Ethereum. Does @Doogy fall into a category of commuters who would like to have these podcasts funneled while on the road?
I like your filtering idea. I would be interested in having it applied somehow to written content here on the website. It could be a valuable way to condense information into a tailor made section for news and ideas.
Perhaps an algorithm could be written to monitor people's "likes" and to suggest other stuff that they may like, based on other users who have a similar pattern?

Re: Investment strategies with the long term in mind
I would tend to favor platforms, autonomous companies, traditional companies or "projects" over straight altcoins.
(I would count LTBcoin among the former categories)

Re: LTBcoin gaining value as Bitcoin gains populariry
It certainly seems that LTB has the network effect on it's side! Ha ha ha ha ha! Get it?
The LTB Network is in a position to use/borrow/absorb ideas that appear elsewhere and prosper from them.
Many competitors could potentially be assimilated. Let's hope it doesn't turn to the dark side.

Re: Measures in place to prevent spam posts?
I think I heard comments in a podcast a while back relating to this problem. I believe there was mention of something with the function of down-votes (probably by a different name). If someone is spamming then others down-vote the comment. I imagine this would be very easy to implement, and I guess it would go at least some way to achieving the desired effect. There could be downsides to this system though.
Perhaps someone has thought of an idea superior to this?

Re: JEDI, what would you wish you'd done before you died?
Hmmmm....perhaps Tyler Derden would accept JEDI in return for lessons in crashing a car in order to obtain a near-life experience?
One thing I'd like to do before I die is to live long enough to see how a few "things" turn out. Perhaps I can help progress with some of these things while I'm waiting!
"Things":
- My children's lives.
- Bitcoin type stuff.
- Astronomy.
- Space exploration.
- Physics (esp. quantum and related).
- Other interesting stuff.
I hope the way humans act and interact with each other and their environment will improve significantly over the next several decades.
So, that's what I want to do before I die - to see what happens (and to act to help it along the way if I can see how). That is all.

Re: Your favorite musical act you saw live
At Wimbledon (the tennis championship) last week there was a brass band playing, among other stuff, the Star Wars theme. I felt the force with that one.
(Pay attention @matt, you JEDI!)

Re: most potential projects
There is one other up and coming thing worth looking into which has huge potential. It's called Bitcoin and it could change the world!
Sorry, but I just have to be annoying.

Re: most potential projects
BitShares is definitely worth at least a good look. There are only about six days left until one can no longer donate to BitShares AGS.

Re: iOS app - Usability Improvements
@ronky - I agree that those features would all greatly enhance the usability. In fact, I imagine it would be a real pain to not have them.
I say "imagine" because I don't have the app.
I hope this isn't poor etiquette (I'm not accustomed to using forums), but I would like to state my interest in having an Android version of the app.
