  • Re: Which ear should I listen with?

@bitnomadic I would suggest the ear with the least wax build up.

    Pardon? :0)

  • Re: MAIDSAFE releases Network Visualizer

A quote from the maidsafe forum:

"The estimated Beta launch date is around late September 2014. Keep in mind it's dependent on how well all 3 testnets perform. Unexpected issues could delay the launch."

  • Re: Is Master Matt Cryptic?

@lainfinity True Freedom is neither Master to any nor Slave to none. Only Peers.

    Yes, Master! ;)

  • Token Balances are shown in "Account Information" on my Dashboard

I don't think it used to show all my token balances before on the LTB Dashboard.

Has this just been implemented or have I previously been unobservant?

Did you do this @cryptonaut? If so, I like it - it's a handy feature thank you. Good work!

  • Re: Is Master Matt Cryptic?

    @matt

@spengler The JEDI master, is he enigmatic?

    Does he have an agenda?

Does he prefer Star Wars or Fight Club?

He suggested I free my mind, so why am I frantically asking questions?

At which end should we open bananas?

What is the purpose of JEDI?

Ooooh. I looked at the colorful image. Intrigued I am.

I think I'll just run around the perimeter/surface for a while before I start exploring my "surroundings" in greater depth.

  • Re: LTBCoin for SPAM

I would be interested to know what sort of thing would be considered a spam post. Would it simply be "a post which is deemed inappropriate"? Would it include, for example, one which:

    • Adds insufficient value to the discussion?
    • Is unnecessarily negative with no constructive purpose?
    • Is abusive?
    • Is too short?
    • Is generally unpopular?

Also, should we be on the lookout for users who simply make short posts all over the forum with not much real purpose (e.g. just saying things like "I agree")? Each post individually may not be spam, but people could easily gain LTBcoin with this behavior if nobody looks for it. I have made a short post myself which just said, "I concur", but I wasn't trying to spam. Perhaps a user's average length of post could be used as a metric, but this seems draconian.

  • Re: Audience asking questions in advance

@ltbcoin There's probably always too many questions to ask guests, but it might still be interesting to see what questions the audience would be most interested in hearing from certain guests.

If upcoming guests are posted, the audience can post questions here, and @adam can pick if he particularly likes any of them to ask during the show.

What if we could "Like" our favorite questions and this earns Proof of Participation points for the people who thought of the questions? Perhaps only if the question ends up being asked on the show?

This would give incentive for people to think of some really interesting questions for the guests.

(BTW - Proof of Participation points are used for audience distribution of LTBcoin)

  • Re: ltbcoin is junk

Although I know what the OP means (I think), I don't share the same feelings. I'm very happy with the progress here.

I seem to recall a Counterparty issue whereby they requested you made a new wallet if your previous one was created before a certain date? Is that what you mean @eddie2?

  • Re: Investment strategies with the long term in mind

@sbux The truth is that the long-term price of any altcoin (no matter how good or innovating that altcoin is) always goes down if you calculate this price in BTC. This includes LTBCoin btw, no matter how much we all want it to succeed. I love LTBCoin, NXT, DOGE, MMC, RIC but they will go down in price in the long term.

So given this unfortunate truth you would be fool to invest into anything but Bitcoin

If this is in reply to the previous post(?), I would say that Maidsafe (with their SAFEcoin to be) is very different and not an altcoin. It's more like a project which is intended to create a completely redesigned internet (and more). I recommend anyone who's not familiar with it takes a look.

  • Re: Do you have a Circle wallet?

Thanks all for reminding me to request an invitation. I've just done it on their website.

I expect I'll get my invitation through tomorrow - I'll let you know if I do! :P
