I don't know nearly enough about maidsafe other than it will be a game changer if it works and that I missed out on the maidsafe coin ipo. So I picked up a thousand maidsafe coins on poloniex and I'm brushing up on the project. When is it supposed to go live? I'm more of a hands on learner.

A quote from the maidsafe forum:
"The estimated Beta launch date is around late September 2014. Keep in mind it's dependent on how well all 3 testnets perform. Unexpected issues could delay the launch."

Maidsafe is a medium term project, have faith or sell your tokens :) At least you have the option unlike butterfly labs pre-orderers

Delays seem to be 'par for the course' in this space. I think it'll be worth the wait (as with LTBcoin and seemingly Bitshares).

Does anyone know when we'll actually be able to start using Maidsafe? I haven't heard anything since their funding announcement awhile back.

Is there a way to easily create paper wallets or web wallet for maidsafe? I am not familiar with Mastercoin yet and the coins are still sitting on boloniex.

If I were going to use a web wallet for MaidSafeCoins it'd be the Omniwallet at the moment.
The following is what I believe, but please double check because I don't want to be responsible if I'm wrong!
I don't know about Poloniex, but with Mastercoin assets you can just use a normal Bitcoin paper wallet.
When you want to move your MaidSafeCoins out of the paper wallet you'll just need to import the private key to a wallet such as Omniwallet. There is the option to add a watch-only address to omniwallet as well. It is recommended to use Chrome for the Omniwallet
