Hey guys/gals, my name is Matt and I've been studying bitcoin behind the scenes since it's 2010. I'm a materials scientist, UI/UX designer and entrepreneur. I formally worked as a process engineer specializing in the development of thin film material.
In a recent former life I worked in a team of two to develop a hybrid social network that combined core attributes of twitter and facebook into a localized network. Unfortunately, the idea never took as it happens with most social startups. Since then I've spent a large amount of my time studying cryptocurrencies and the problems we need to solve in order to eliminate friction in adoption. I feel the world needs easier ways to mine cryptographic currencies that are outside of computational mining, which is what has led me to LTBcoin.

LTBcoin isn't available yet. Distribution methods are still in discussion now. You can earn LTBcoin now by participating in discussions on the forum.
Other ways after launch include:-Creating and publishing content on the network-Participating as audience member-Contributing to design, development, etc. via bounties and other methods still in discussion.-Maybe some of your ideas?Posted on March 17, 2014 at 11:51 PM

Re: What are/should be the core areas that cover all of LTB's coin distribution?
Conclusions:
Proposed LTB Resource Distribution Laws:
Parallels needed based on mathematics of matrices' operation.
Black nodes are producers (collaborators) and white nodes are consumers (users).Any live node with fewer than two live neighbors connected shifts to higher rank, as if caused by non-attention.Any live node with two to three connected live nodes stays in a neutral position.Any live node connected with more than three live nodes drops rank, as if by overfeeding.Any dead node connected by exactly three live nodes becomes a live node, as if by growth. These become the basic laws for determining the socio-economic generation growth of overall LTBcoin network, which allow other nodes combinations to propagate. The system needs to meet certain growth margins needed to shift.3d structure shows how the structure continuously lifts its counter parties.EPIC JOHN CONWAY"S GAME OF LIFE <-awesome video shows what 4 simple rules can create. The vague design allows you to offer plausible tokenization model and the hope is for the overall network to grow and produce more Gw:Hq nodes. c1 (Gw:Hq1) - LTB c2 (Gw:Hq2)- ? <- Operation is consistent, command nodes serve as differentiator. The glider is the also the "Hacker Emblem" which is pretty cool when you think about it.This vague design could work on other tokenization efforts.Propose LTB testnet coin asset name change to "Glidercoin" aka HackercoinPlatform produces glider token automatons on distributed consensus platform system.Gw node does not have to be donation node for alt coins, just an added idea.Node that performs the best becomes the most profitable node in the next generation, excludes Gw and Hq nodes.Posted on March 16, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Re: What are/should be the core areas that cover all of LTB's coin distribution?
Glider Distribution Pattern:John Conway's game of life operates on 4 laws which yields 2d method of social collaboration if a 5 node system (glider) is tuned properly. We should develop a basic distribution pattern that is cyclical and strategic for continuous growth.
John Conways Game of Life - Automaton Operational Laws:Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies, as if caused by under-population.Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on to the next generation.Any live cell with more than three live neighbours dies, as if by overcrowding.Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes a live cell, as if by reproduction.
The pattern could be used as follows:
Distribution of assets to 4 parties cyclical with one distribution node continuously supplying to supporting nodes. Distribution node is autonomous, never paid and serves as the gateway for LTBcoins entering the market. It allows people to "mine" LTBcoin by reducing coinwaste in the industry and 'monetizing wasted' assets. The community decides which assets should be burned through the Gw node.
Gw node is never paid and funds are distributed to each node at 25% during the charging cycle.
Central command node is always stays in the trailing position in the pattern and receives the least resources but is the smallest. Other nodes rotate in positions based on the pattern of the glider. Rotations consist of change in funding/resources allocated to each node. Resources consist of disbursement to users, proof of work models, anything a node needs to gain LTBcoin. Once the pattern has been fulfilled the node changes position.
The pattern has a 4 cycle period oscillation and repeats on the 5th cycle.
2d - visual and mathematical connections of nodes to one another.
3d - Visualization of Glider
The network operates on time. Time can be sped up or slowed down with the machine. Which in our case is not possible. However, this provides a good strategy for goals and shifting resources in order to manage success of the entire network. These laws are mathematically distributed by the pattern shown above.Posted on March 16, 2014 at 8:26 AM

Re: What are/should be the core areas that cover all of LTB's coin distribution?
LTBcoin Thought Experiment: Operation/Distribution Model [Edited - 3/18/14]
We could allow parties to burn coins and transfer the wealth to LTBcoin the same way Counterparty did, but with any coin except Bitcoin. Each week new coins are created and the donations from wasted coins received determine incoming value new LTB coins. If we adopted this model we could establish a conduit for connecting all the nodes which govern LTBcoin. On top of this I propose the following solution to the problem of 'multitasking' the network based on LTBcoins available resources and the basic concepts of John Conway's Game of Life.
Hypothesis
John Conway's game of life is excellent model for establishing socio-economic equilibrium.
Experimental Bylaw
This is simply a thought experiment so bare with me.
Proposed LTBcoin Network Development Process:Agree on structure of each node and central command, each node is a network of 5 sub-nodes.
Decide on node operation.Determine centralized command node.Route 4 way 'backbone firpit" distribution through centralized node, all tips distributed evenly.Brainstorm proofing protocols for verifying node distribution protocols.Vote on ideas and develop solutions.Deploy solution on test-net and incentivize 'proof-of-hacking' on testnet. Ship features to Beta app once the network verifies new protocol.Design structure of network is built on 5 core areas of operation (nodes).Nodes of NetworkCommand Node 1 (Hq) - Oversees network entirety, development, makes final decision.
User Node 2 (Cc) - Labor, Collaboration, Services
Distribution Node 3 (Gw) - Goodwill (Continuous Burn: Fire-pit of 'Wasted Altcoins').
User Node 4 (We) - Wealth (Manages financials).
User Node 5 (Au) - Audience, Participation and the use of Content.
Color denotes node difference.Posted on March 16, 2014 at 8:10 AM

Re: How else should the Audience "Mine" LTB? - Proof of Tip and Proof of Comment
How about proof or read? You get LTBcoins from reading articles. It could be a much smaller pie.
How would it add additional value to the user over a proof of education model?
I could see this somehow tied into Proof of Education like a subroutine.Posted on March 16, 2014 at 3:37 AM

LTBcoin podcast name?
Do you guys like the title "LTBcoin and the future of media"?
I do, but everything is up for debate.
We can always change the name, I had a fun idea.
"Between Two Coins" coined off "Between Two Ferns". Kinda make sense BTC + XCP = LTB.
Any other thoughts?

Re: iOS or Android?
If Apple supported Bitcoin and cryptocurrency I'd be back on board. Android till then.
I think something like LTB could eventually turn into its own mobile operating system o_O, so maybe there is no need?

Q&A #2: Questions for next weeks google hangout. Video link from first episode included.
Here is todays Q&A recap, it was a bit disorganized and I like to simply the process.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcFGR_VUheA
Questions collected for the show will operate as follows:
Please add all your questions on LTBcoin here for next weeks video podcast. Only questions asked on this forum or on twitter with hashtag #ltbcoin will be addressed. We will answer questions in order of number of likes, agrees, favorites and retweets. We will factor in a reward model for questions that generate a lot of buzz. So think of great questions and ideas. A lot of questions and ideas have already been answered or are actively being discussed so please do some catching up here on the forum and by watching the Q&A, the faster you can learn whats going on the more valuable you become to the community. Feel free to generate new discussions per these discussions, we can use these discussions for addressing issues and ideas for content on the podcast. Reference your new discussion on this thread so we can track it easily.
The questions that make the show will more likely be questions that require discussion. Questions that lead to projects will allow the community to identify needs and more project managers, copywriters, designers, developers, etc. Questions pose new features for the community would be much appreciated. We can build project management positions accordingly based on group consensus and executive governance.
We will also have guest appearances for users/contributors/content creators who want to discuss their questions if they'd like. Users who are actively contributing to the community in either forum or for a development perspective are encourage to join in discussions and there questions will be discussed on the podcast addressed first.Contact me at: http://twitter.com/mattdecourcelle request a follow back if we need to DM. Thanks for your help everyone!
The goal is to build momentum within the community around the development of LTBcoin, so let's have a public and more private forum for addressing concerns.

Re: iOS or Android?
I own both, so I can use either one. But I vastly prefer IOS, so I cast my vote there.
In the overall scheme of things I agree with you on iOS, unfortunately Apple seems to be leveraging their monopoly on the market.

Public beta testing of Counterwallet on testnet is scheduled to begin this week or start of next week, with release on mainnet a few weeks after. You could consider participating in testing on testnet (asset issuance, etc) when it comes out.
Sorry I don't know about Jah's GUI, you'll have to ask him about that. Can LTBcoin use testnet as a living sandbox?
