Re: CEX.IO Temporarily Suspends Cloud Mining Services
I'm actually ok with this, this is what's supposed to happen. Plus it should give some other players a chance to get into the game, especially when difficulty goes down because of it. At least they aren't trying to pull a GAW and create some shady altcoin scheme to keep people sinking money into them... Plus, now nobody can claim that GHASH.IO is trying to take over 51% of the network like all that nonsense that happened last year

Re: Bitstamp.net hacked
@rob Peter Todd criticized that Bitstamp has moved their operation to Amazon servers. Peter thinks that basically gives the NSA total access to their data.
IMO that's kind of a silly argument. What data is being worried that the NSA has access to, the customer data? Because the mere fact of even having a bank account and linking it to an exchange, sending in your identity info etc. means it is already far too late for you if your concerned about government forces. It's not like the NSA is going to swoop in and steal bitstamps bitcoins... which is the reason for this whole ordeal lol.
AWS has some of the best overall security around, even their own employees can't access anyones data (if you lose your encryption key, your hooped). Hell, even just to get near any of their servers you need to go through several physical security checkpoints

Re: SPECULATE.XCP - Weekly Payouts!
Quick update: the SPECULATE funding address is now operated by an automated "vending machine" / gateway that I created (see here: https://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/bitcoinexxcp-and-the-counterparty-gateway). This means that SPECULATE tokens are sent out automatically within a few blocks after a new transaction hits the funding address (instead of relying on me seeing the transaction and doing it manually). It calculates the latest price by looking at the dividend history on the blockchain, and it also automatically creates the 10,000 new tokens whenever it runs out of new tokens to sell. Saves me a bit of time each day :) If anyone runs into any issues with it, let me know
Week #13 dividends paid out last night. Over 1 BTC raised this past week which is the highest so far. Income still rising, trying to get to a goal of a weekly dividend of at least 200 satoshis per unit. Also, anyone who bought in during week #3 (which was the cheapest week to buy, price went to 1440 satoshis at the end of week #2) has now officially made 100% ROI! Not bad for 3 months only, although the rest of the weeks are going to take some time still.

Re: EARNFREEBTC.XCP - Earn BTC with your CounterWallet
Havnt updated this thread in a while...
couple updates:
- In case you havnt noticed, all payments are being paid out in BITCOINEX now instead of XBTC. See here for more info: https://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/bitcoinexxcp-and-the-counterparty-gateway
- The EARNFREEBTC funding address (which is still the same address) is now operated by an automated "vending machine", which means that tokens are sent out automatically within a few blocks after an incoming transaction has confirmed (instead of being manually sent out by me whenever I see them). The vending machine accepts BTC, XBTC and BITCOINEX for new purchases (0.00025 per token)
cheers!

Re: Requiring Guidance with XCP Mistake Transfer.
you won't be able to get the private key for the Melotic wallet because they are an exchange, not really a wallet service. They own the private keys, so anything you send to them is technically theirs. Sucks to make that mistake though! You will most likely need to contact their support and they should be able to refund / send back the BTC you sent by accident

Re: Are overstock no longer using counterparty for their platform?
In the video he just says they are in talks with other people and groups as well, doesnt really seem like a "confirmation" that they are dropping counterparty or anything (like the reddit thread about it implies..). The XCP devs are still saying they can't comment on the project at all yet, so I think if it were true then they would just say "yeah, we are done with them guys" or something, IMHO. Plus counterparty is still gaining the most traction by far compared to all the other "2.0" protocols :)
