I am wondering if overstock have decided to move to another platform? In a recent interview it seems Patrick Byrne is in talks with other people now!

It definitely sounded like there was some kind of falling out ...

In the video he just says they are in talks with other people and groups as well, doesnt really seem like a "confirmation" that they are dropping counterparty or anything (like the reddit thread about it implies..). The XCP devs are still saying they can't comment on the project at all yet, so I think if it were true then they would just say "yeah, we are done with them guys" or something, IMHO. Plus counterparty is still gaining the most traction by far compared to all the other "2.0" protocols :)

It could be that they are in negotiation over ownership or compensation, and saying they are looking around could be a negotiation tactic.
