Re: Looking for LTBcoin Core Thinkers and Doers
Is the hangout for the 15th still on? That RSVP link above appears to have been deactiviated.
Hmm, this link works - I'll fix the one up top.

Altcoin with a purpose. I love it. GoxCoin has utility and potential too. I'll be watching that :) goxcoin will be built on the base of Mastercoin?
Yes, Goxcoin is being built on Mastercoin and LTBcoin is being built on CounterParty (XCP)

Re: The Proof of Publishing Protocol
what is the difference among the proof of publishing, proof of work, and proof of burns? and how to distribute the coins? Proof of Publishing is a non-computational proof of work, the link at the top of the page takes you to the paper describing it. Proof of burn is not being used by LTBcoin.
This is very interesting. So to get this straight this will turn LTB into a dac?
As much of a DAC as it can be right now, it will still require human editors and people filling roles but yeah broadly all the structure is locked in and people just fulfill their opt-in jobs per piece of work.

Re: LTBCoin and the start of Private Network Tokens
I always liked the idea of having coins as network access. If you have LTBcoins, then perhaps there should be access to certain areas of the forum, etc as that shows commitment.
There is a fine line to walk here between reward and exclusion. Another thing we've considered is making all content available to premium members about 12hrs early (the night before instead of the mid-morning after) so they can a) be ahead of the curve and b) have the right days content for the commute in to work (in the US this is a big part of our market)
I think there are a bunch of possibilities. We've talked before about doing audio versions of all the written pieces to, that could be a premium feature - never read again and not miss any of the varied LTB content.

Re: LTBcoin Launch Day Distribution
Does LTBCoin have a wallet like other altcoins?
Once it is released yes, but it won't be a satoshi client. It will support Bitcoin, XCP, LTB and all other assets created on XCP
I believe this LTBcoin will have a ton of value, because it is the first coin of it's kind and because the LTB network will continue to grow. The people that listen to LTB on a regular basis definitely have a interest in owning this new coin (myself included.) Maybe part of the distribution could be to people/addresses that have tipped posts on the network in the past?
We have talked about this, but the logistics are very difficult given how many unique, small tips we've received over time.

Re: How should the LTB Network Operate? Please Check out BetterMeans - Open Enterprise Governance Model
although the ideal of DAC is fabulous, the community should attract more people outside the sphere of Virtual Currency! just make it easier to general person!
I am trying to create a structure that can survive my inevitable, eventual leaving of it. The thing I most hate in life are projects that are important to me, but only survive because of my constant tending.
Projects that rely on me to always be there eventually die because I won't always be there, this experience is not uniquely mine but it is very frustrating personally.
So what we're talking about here on the forum really is how you build the roads. Most users will not and should not care about this. It is infrastructure, most successful when pervasively used but unnoticed.
DACs will be easy for the general person soon, it's not about DACs just our lack of good interfaces with them. This problem like all the others whirling around cryptocurrency are being solved.

Re: What's your Favorite Show on the LTB Network? Why?
Yeah, that is a commonality of our current lineup! Soon Epicenter Bitcoin will join the roster, which records out of germany and france. We're also continuing to develop our first spanish language show.
