LTB iPhone 5 App Preview
https://www.dropbox.com/s/54g2v9ba0zd4nrf/ltb.mov
It's pretty much ready but is tied to the feeds from the new website which is still having the graphic design designed and implemented. The infrastructure is ready but my inattention to the design of the new site means we're a little behind on that. It's one of my focuses for this week.Posted on April 19, 2014 at 8:39 PM

Re: LTBcoin Content Bounties - Proposal
That is of course just a thought, I'm not suggesting expanding the scope. I think the proof of concept should be very specific, but this is the natural expansion we'll find ourselves staring at.

Re: LTBcoin Content Bounties - Proposal
Would any of the content that is currently being produced on the LTB network fall into this model?
And the answer I came up with is No, I don't think so. I believe podcasters, bloggers and content creators prefer to choose their own topics most of the time. And since a lot of the content is centered around news and recent events, this model doesn't make sense all of the time.------------------------------Actually I think that's a symptom of not having any better options. If I could look at a board that has show topics all of which are weighted with upvotes that form a bounty for successfully fulfilling the terms (covering the topic) than I would probably gladly outsource the general scope of what I look at and simply curate the best options from ideas other people have already validated, especially since it rewards me.
ACTS actually aren't responsible for long term engagement, that's the responsibility of show runners and blog schedulers. ACTS are responsible for creating short term engaging content that is validated by the audience to be picked up and included in a larger vehicle. It is the responsibility of the larger vehicle to create a cohesive narrative that delivers value as expected.
So one can imagine a Coindesk style blog that has the mandate to cover timely breaking news and analysis issues. Individual contributors just have to focus on delivering the type of narrative that fits with the style, analytical and somewhat neutral. AP Style basically, focused on the WHO, WHERE and WHAT rather than the WHY or HOW. It is the responsibility of the blog scheduler(s) to incentivize and acquire the content to deliver value via their vehicle. A vehicle lacking content has no value.Posted on April 7, 2014 at 5:57 PM

DEVELOPMENT REQUEST - "Jobs" platform and the Transcription Experiment
See this thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294947.0;topicseen
The TL;DR is there was an effort by a non-listener over the summer of 2013 to have episodes of LTB (at the time up to episode 50) transcribed, it started with a .10BTC bounty he offered, I kicked in an additional .05BTC each (although I dont think he ever let me pay him). It was slow at first but then the price ran up and so over the last few months things went nuts, the project got really big and out of control because it was all organized in a giant forum thread by a volunteer paying out of pocket. The project has now stopped.
I would really like to provide a platform for people to set up "jobs" such as "Transcribe episode 66 of LTB", they can contribute to the bounty in LTBCOIN or Bitcoin and then when somebody does the job the bounty is released to them. People want to help all the time, and this type of platform will let people contribute time, money or work depending on their situation.
Thanks!Posted on April 7, 2014 at 4:26 PM

Update from Adam - Blog, Counterwallet Launch, Toronto
Hey all,I'm coming up for air after producing episodes 98-102 (they're good ones too!) - Leaving for Toronto on Tuesday very early in the morning, I put up the LTBCoin blog to act as the central point of communication. You can can find the first post at http://ltbcoin.com/ltbcoin-for-new-users.
I will be updating the LTBCOIN blog while I'm in Toronto and working on various things when I'm not networking.
Sorry for being out of communication for the last week, CounterWallet should be launching today on the Mainnet so the bottleneck will no longer be the tech pretty much now. I believe our launch date should be the 1 year anniversary, April 25th.
What say you? Anybody going to be in Toronto?Posted on April 6, 2014 at 9:20 PM

Re: How many LTBcoins should there be?
I have at this point shifted my opinion to 510M because I don't think it's "worse" than 51M (that's still a huge number of units), and I think that the low value of doge has enabled it to "not be so serious" to spend, which I think is incredibly important.
Can anyone articulate an argument against 510M and in favor of 51M that makes sense? I've had trouble thinking of one, and I agree with @deweller about a target of $.10 making just as much sense as 51m at $1.00Posted on March 29, 2014 at 6:22 PM
