    @Cryptonaut

    I have one and have been testing on and of for the past few weeks.

    How do you verify what you see in your Trezor is actually there?

    Might sound like a ridiculous question but something doesn't make sense.

    I have a support ticket open in regards to publicly verifying/auditing BTC balance in Blockchain.info (Zero) vs. balance I see in Trezor (not Zero).

    Do you mean that you see a balance on mytrezor.com, but when looking at your receiving addresses on blockchain.info they are all empty?

    @Cryptonaut

    Yup .. but that doesn't necessarily mean I can't retrieve my BTC.

    But this is kinda spooky. Conspiracy minded in me wonders what the worst case scenario could be and its not pretty (which includes being able to retrieve my BTC). Or i'm just a dork and don't know what i'm doing.

    I would guess that it is probably change addresses. trezor tries to give you a new receiving address after every transaction (you can choose to use older ones though) and it also sends change in transactions to new change addresses. As far as I can tell there is no place that you can see a list of your change addresses... probably something they should add

    @cryptonaut Yup --In fact I mentioned that in my ticket that I see that there is a new receiving addresses and that this address does not have a balance either. I noted that I thought new receiving addresses were auto generated for privacy reasons which makes sense to me...

    I'll keep you posted.

    "Trezor is signing two outputs when you typed only one outgoing address. During the transaction, Trezor can send change amount to new private key, because he knows that this private key can be re-generated at any time.
    This concept is generally called "hierarchical deterministic wallets" or "HD wallets" and its technical specification is in BIP 32: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0032.mediawiki
    You can see the transaction here https://blockchain.info/address/XXXXXXX
    Also you can verify this with http://bip32.org/ , you need to type in your xpub key, which you can find in advanced details under you account page."

    I need to digest this and come back here and report. :)

    This device is not waterproof or water resistant. It's a joke, right?
