Hey all

il be posting to this thread change logs for version updates to the LTB network platform. Feel free to discuss

We also have a publicly viewable task/issue board using "Trello", which can be viewed here: https://trello.com/b/sU2rcKen/ltb-platform-support

You can check the Trello board at any time to see what kind of stuff we have in the works at the moment. Its public, but only invited users can post on it (trying to keep it organized!)

  Finally getting the ball rolling with the stuff. Just a few updates from today:

  • Couple admin backend changes relating to stats :)
  • Dashboard home now shows all your token balances in your counterparty/LTBcoin address (if you have one)! Quick method of checking your balances without opening up your wallet each time
  • Magic Words / Proof of Listening system implemented. You should see see this in your dashboard menu now which has a quick explanation of what its all about (another way to get LTBcoin!)

  Bunch more stuff on the way for tomorrow

  Some changes from today:

  • Added some backend admin stuff relating to Magic Words system and permissions
  • LTBcoin (and other asset) distributions now will tell you what they are for (if labeled) in the notification. e.g "Proof of Participation Week 3" etc.
  • Fixed an issue with quoting in posts, where it would replace any text you have written with the new quote.
  • Made the topic subscription button a lot more obvious!
  • When you create a forum thread, you are now auto subscribed to it
  • If you have no profile picture uploaded yet, we now attempt to get a profile image for you from Gravatar using your account email address.
  • Upload profile picture is now located in "Edit Profile" instead of "Account Settings" in the dashboard
  • On your dashboard home page, you can now view a QR code for your registered LTBcoin address
  • Blog articles now show the post cover/featured image as well as authors profile pic.
  • Fixed a few other small issues I came across (e.g a few usernames weren't showing on the home page)

  Mostly been working on some new features for the site, but a couple more changes pushed up today:

  • New options for admins so that we can help you out with your account easier (e.g if you need a username change etc.)
  • Any "Likes" you receive on posts now go towards your weekly Proof of Participation rewards. So if you have a post that receives lots of likes, you get extra LTBcoin that week!
  • In your account settings, you can now check off "receive occasional free tokens" to automatically sign up for our asset "drop list", where we occasionally give away free counterparty tokens either for testing or promotional purposes (or just being generous). Check this off if you like free stuff.

  Love the checkbox for free tokens. Cool idea and love the likes counting as a reward essentially.

  Keep up the great work @Cryptonaut on cranking all of these features out!

  Updates from today:

  • Fixed a bug where the dashboard complains that you havn't registered an LTBcoin address if your profile was set to private
  • Your "LTBcoin Compatible Address" can now be found in your Account Settings instead of profile (and thus requires password to change)
  • Attempted a fix for the occasional 403 Forbidden errors that some people have been getting (let me know if you still get this!)
  • Spent some time seriously optimizing the site, like an 80% improvement (mostly less database hits and external requests). You might notice that pages are loading much faster now

  @cryptonaut From a performance standpoint I can strongly recommend using the PageSpeed module to get an idea of where the actual performance issues are.

  Using it I can see that the gravatar implementation causes multiple redirects per page view which gives quite a bit of http overhead and that expiration times on art hasn't been set properly causing some browsers to refresh the images frequently.

  Updates from the past few days (a bit behind on this)

  • Fixed some image and text overflowing that was happening on some pages and forum posts
  • Fixed styles on "recaptcha" inputs (e.g on contact page)
  • number of notifications now show up on mobile version of the site, which takes you to your notifications page in the dashboard
  • Added a temporary search option for the forums.. just a link to a page with embedded google search. This will be replaced by a real search page soon!
  • Built referral system - you can now get more LTBcoin by referring members! See here for more info - http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/refer-a-friend-and-get-more-ltbcoin
  • Built the "Address Manager". In your dashboard, under the "LTBcoin" section you can now go to the address manager, which lets you submit bitcoin addresses to link to your account. To verify ownership of an address, you can either sign a secret message with that address' private key, or send a small donation payment to prove that you control it.
  • Updated some things in the backend relating to asset distributions and proof of participation

  Working on getting 1st version up of a LTBcoin & Proof of Participation stats page sometime tonight
