Hi, I'm Mike. I'm originally from Harare, Zimbabwe and now I live in Cape Town, South Africa. If there are a few countries that really need crypto, Zimbabwe is one of them. Hyper-inflation culminated in the introduction of a ZW$50 billion bank note, before the currency was completely abandoned. Now there are officially 8 currencies. So when you head of to the shops, you can't be sure which of the 8 currencies you'll be receiving change in. And when you get that change, you need to know all the exchange rates in order to be sure that they're giving you the correct amount. Craziness. More info here: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-26034078 I've attended Bitcoin meetups here, and I met a guy who rode a bike from Cape Town to Harare to raise Bitcoin awareness (~2600km). But I'd rate awareness as being pretty low in this part of the world.

Hi, i am waltz. 2 years ago i got involved with Bitcoin and after losing some BTC because of closed/hacked exchanges back then I abandoned BTC till beginning of this year. Then i got introduced to the first wave of alt coins and started to learn more about the system behind. With all crapcoins coming out in the last months i think ltbcoin has a strong year ahead and i would be happy to get involved!

hi, I am Ney. I got redirected to this site from the bitcoinmagazine.com. I have been dabbling in BTC for the past year and recently started investing in altcoins. The math-based currency space is still evolving rapidly but I do believe there is a place for bitcoin alternatives to exist and thrive, and I'm excited to be a part of this growing movement.good luck for LTBcoin!

Hi, my name is Roark and I'm from Toronto, Canada (yes the place with the absurd mayor. I wager you may have a relative or friend who lives or lived in Toronto, no?). I come from an arts/media/technology background and have been creating an editorial cartoon style blog called: Tales from the Crypto: Mr. Bitcoin at www.misterbitcoin.info Bitcoin has so many incredible stories going on lately, and as you know, it appears three days will not pass without some form of significant news creeping its way out in crypto coin world. Its fun to be amongst those who have seen the writing on the wall for what is still early, paradigm shifting days.

Hi, I'm Gianni D'Alerta from Miami, FL USA. I have been watching crypto currencies for about a year and have gotten really deep into it for the past 6 months. I am one of the admins for the Miami Bitcoin and Ethereum Meetup/FB/Reddit groups.
I launched http://www.51attack.com on 12/31/2013 at the strike of midnight. I sell my own designed crypto related tshirts. I accept more than 37 crypto currencies on my site. This was an experiment to see if I could do a full crypto logistics. Aside from my first batch having been shipped using Fiat. My tshirt printer who accepts BTC, now is handling printing and full fillment. I have not touched fiat, since. It's been great meeting people from around the world through this venture and am currently helping BitGive raise funds through my tshirt sales.
Exited about LTB coin!

Hello everyone, I'm John Light from the Bay Area in California. I've been interested in cryptocurrencies since late 2011 and moved to the Bay Area in early 2013 to start a Bitcoin company. Shortly after I moved here, I started a blog and a Bitcoin Consultant website so I could teach others about this exciting technology. On July 4, 2013 I organized the first Buttonwood SF meetup, which is basically the Satoshi Square of San Francisco. Towards the end of 2013 I co-founded a cryptocurrency startup called PawnCoin with a licensed pawnbroker in SF named Carl Hilsz. I'm also a frequent writer for Let's Talk Bitcoin and am very excited to have the opportunity to earn LTBcoins and help make history here. Props to Adam for taking the lead on this; I know it will be the first of many "branded" cryptocurrencies to come.

Hello World!
My IRL name is Aaron but I like to go by the moniker Frankenmint. I came up with that name for my first rig, because it was put together with old computer parts, lying around. Started checking out bitcoin and alt-coins about a year ago and decided early on I wanted to get into mining. I've been a web and database developer by trade but am educated in Business Management. I don't get to listen to the LTB show as much as I'd like because I already find myself pouring over the abundant amount of information everywhere from places like Bitcointalk and its sister similars such as cryptocoin, litecoin, and altcointalk.co.uk, Reddit, webchat.freenode, and youtube. I do occasionally get a chance to listen in though and when I do, the podcasts are magical.
I've accumulated all stages of mining hardware, including a couple FPGAs to be able to 1) get experience with all things mining, 2) be able to assist the community and also to get involved in mining sooner. I have since amassed a very large power bill, and an array of GPUs for scrypt and ASICS for sha256 coins. Though I still choose to mine bitcoin primarily, I have been looking at some of the various profit-led multipool setups as well as several different alt-coins of choice. Now if I could only find the time to focus on DAC driven 2.0 stuff (my next desired challenge: to be integrally involved in a DAC)
I left my traditional full time job to focus on my bitcoin adoption website and mining as a full time effort. In addition to these activities I also mine and actively trade altcoins through Cryptsy as well as on places like coinmkt and btc-e (although it is to be gradually less with the latter company for investment security reasons). It has definitely been a roller coaster for me, but I no longer want to work for anyone but myself as a result of the freedom AND the stimulation brought on from other folks within the Virtual Currency Economy (Virconomy) that has emerged.
As to what Sumanto Said: I think that we're all opportunists to a degree otherwise we wouldn't bother being here. (involved in cryptocurrencies) If you had been around in 2008-2010 years, it would be more reasonable to believe that this was "for the sake of hobby" Despite risking great sums of time and money, we stand to be the new pilgrims of this digital frontier into socio-economic evolution.
My first step towards becoming a bitcoin-accepting merchant was when I took the opportunity to sign up with Andreas Antonopolous's Open Bitcoin Store. I failed somewhat spectacularly as I only made one sell to the netherlands for the equivalent of $2.50 after spending 5 weeks uploading inventory and creating a database of all MTG cards hosted on the site. I decided instead to focus on selling items to spread bitcoin adoption and awareness through the use of Roger Ver and Eric Vorhees' Honey Badger Of Money marketing billboard in Santa Clara California (with their artwork and permission) and created Honeybadgerofmoney.com to sell Magnetic Decals, and bitcoin themed merchandise. My latest addition has been US bitcoin postage stamps.
I am open to collaborate with all other bitcoin merchandise companies - Drop me a note!1 like
