Hello my name is William, I'm interested in cyber currencies and how they can be used in various ways. I've been listening to let's talk bit coin since very early this year. I tried to listen to every episode of LTB as it is released but don't always manage it.

As an artist I am particularly interested in the concept of getting micro-payments for my art as it is distributed around the Internet. I'm also interested in the possibility of teaching other artists how they can access cyber currency so that they can have the same options. I'm in the early stages of developing a website which explores some of these ideas. I'd be interested to hear from any web designers who would like to investigate this concept.

This could include conceptualist's or other artists, whether they be musicians, painters, photographers or other genres keen to get positive feedback and payment from their work.

My favourite episode was number 81 bit coin for the people. I was really enthused by the techno-concepts of Xavier Hawke.

Just saw this thread at the top, realize I never hopped on it!

My name is Adam. I am a mathematics major and have been a teacher, specifically at the high school level, for the past ten years. I am also an adjunct Calculus professor at the university level and have been a curriculum developer/researcher on the side. Coding, specifically in java/python, has been one of my major hobbies outside of school and is what initially pointed me towards the cryptocurrency space. I have been hooked ever since.

Believe it or not, the logic behind cryptocurrencies has even influenced a lot of my mathematics instruction. For instance I was able to teach hashing functions to my students via the famous "birthday" probability problem (hashing as a function with 365 containers..omitting leap days) to help predict the probability in a room of n people you have the same birthday as someone else...i.e have at least one "container" collision. We then worked out how many containers you would have to have to reduce the collision probability to X which then eventually led towards some conversation about SHA256. The kids had fun with it, but not as much as me. I'm a real geek about this kind of stuff and its keeping me passionate about education!

I love being a part of this community, and am very thankful for all of you! There are not exactly any bitcoin meetups in my community and seemingly no one to have an informed cryptocurrency conversation with around me (without a lot of hand waving and eye rolls). Having the LTB network to listen to updates, and more recently this forum, has been seriously contributing to my sanity!

I stumbled onto 'Lets talk Bitcoin' via another forum where I was trying to learn about Cloud Mining for Bitcoin. It turns out my investment level wouldn't yield a profit. But someone posted a referral link to here and I thought I would check it out.

I am interested in Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency for several reasons. One as the form of investment seems much more appealing than buying stocks or trading currencies. Dealing in this form of currency intrigues me, I seem to run into people with similar ideals and community and social beliefs in this realm and that is what I like.

Sure I love to imagine my few bitcoins surging to $5000 +, but that is all speculation. I am more interested as to how I might be able to use those bitcoins for future purchases one day. Will they replace currency as we know it, that sort of stuff.

I am also working on a marketing degree, so the newness of 'Lets Talk Bitcoin' appeals as there might be a way for me to put into practice what I have been learning about social media and help grow this idea and community into something amazing.

    All the best.

    Joe

Ciao a tutti from sicily, bitcoin/alt2.0coin enthusiast here. Sorry for my terrible english but I'm actually trying to improve it by listening at your shows :-)

I should mention that I am listening the podcast and lurking here from some months already, but finally LTBcoin gave me the right push to open an account an try to be more involved in the community, so it seems that Adam's vision is working!
