Another idea could be to crowd source it. So for example.. article gets submitted. Kicks around in a "new" section or something for a bit, where it goes through a sort of peer review process. If a user can provide evidence that the article was plagarized from somewhere (or otherwise complete BS), then they can submit their evidence to the administration/moderators who can then look into and confirm the allegations and reward the user with X amount of LTBCoin for their efforts. The process could be streamlined so would basically be just a simple evidence submission form which notifies a mod. Mod checks it out, removes the article if needed and gives the user their reward with a single button click.
Yep, this seems like the way to do it.  Don't automate it, incentivize and outsource it to the audience.

That seems like a good idea, but a post review process would certainly create more work if every single piece of content created must go through an "approval." Why not just let it run wild like Reddit and have the audience audit it like you suggest?

Right now i'm thinking there is a "Does Not Comply with Publishing Guidelines" field for each published article that people reading the article can push and fill out if they find evidence that it does not meet the standards.  Then people can send LTBcoin to the proposal if they believe it is right, and after a certain threshold (like more than the average tip amount or something) it flags a mod who investigates and then rewards people based on how much value they bet it was not compliant.  If it does comply and the mods time is wasted, people who sent value don't win anything and also lose the funds they sent to the breach proposal.

I'm hoping that by using this type of decentralized system, if someone has something important to say, they can get help cleaning it up so it's more adept. I also think it should produce high quality content in addition to high value if the person with the idea isn't that great at saying it in whatever form they choose to publish in.

Let's say a 1000-word blog post gets sent to the "new section", where it sloshes around a few, then admin gives it a go and makes it public, are we talking about timeline of hours or days? Some content is obviously time-sensitive, so the crawling/peer-review/admin-filtering shouldn't take very long, or am I missing the point here?

Good point. This is something each team can decide, but I think there should be workflow benchmarks setup so people can know in advance.

yes, crystal, the decentralized system should help with quality.

I think there are several levels - There is Editorial approval which is about quality, but keep in mind that since you just earn POP and not LTBcoins when you publish, there is going to be some time after it is published but before you get the LTBcoins for the work.  During that time is the window for the audience to curate it and do post-publishing filtering.
Does that make sense?   I think that allows us to just judge objective quality, trust that they are "right" and let the audience pillory anyone who is caught breaking the rules because they profit from it.

This would be a good way yes. I think writers should have to go through some sort of a short approval process before being even able to write though. Like just submitting a peice of their work or something or just talking to them. That way we dont have random people signing up and spamming and other such nonsense.

I have read the doc "Proof of Publishing" today, then i come to this thread, and I totally agree. Yes, it's the word"value". As a user, when I come to a forum, I want to find things valuable or informative.

My secongd concern is that when there appear more and more shows and  articles to achieve LTBcoins, how can the users find the valuable or informative ones qiuckly and easily?  We cannot guarantee that all the content are valuable(maybe no media can totally do that) , then maybe we need effective ways to make users find the valuable content easily.

I have also recognized this problem @sara and have come to realize that ANYONE will be able to create a show or blog on the LTB network, and the best will be included on the front page by default, with specific articles or episodes that achieve a better than usual result on subsidiary pages being picked out and included on the front page.  LTBcoins for content creation on the incentive side are only paid out to content that appears on front pages.  There will be more than one Front Page, but each front page will basically have its own curation team and target a specific niche, or language.
Still thinking about this.   I think the concept got a lot bigger once I realized how many people want to create content for us.
