Re: Did I miss the LTB coin drop?
@jshow5555 I missed it too. What I did not get is – it said 51 million LTBCoins were issued, but were they all distributed in the first week or they will be spread out for number of weeks. Hope somebody in the know explains it further.
Check out this page for the info.
51,000,000 were distributed at launch. There will then be regular issuances (getting progressively less with time - see graphs on above link). The total supply of LTBcoin will be 510,000,000. The last of these will be created after 5 years.

Re: 2.25 million LTBC going out to folks with more than 5 forum posts (and an address on file) imminently - thanks for playing! next distribution tomorrow
@adrian-sutton TNT, yes just have to make 5 you in :)
I knew there must be a deadline, and I think I missed it… with 17 confirmations right now it should have arrived already...
The more important question:
Is there counterparty asset explorer? You know to check what address owns what asset. I know with NXT you can do that through some of the wallets.
That blockscan website which Adam suggested has this page which is quite interesting, click here and look at the "Shareholders" tab.
(I hope I've managed to format the link correctly - If there's loads of edits for this post this will be the reason!)

Investment strategies with the long term in mind
There is a constant stream of new ideas and projects, and I would like to support my favorites by investing money. At the moment there is only a handful of things about which I'm particularly enthusiastic.
The problem that I am struggling with arises when I consider the long term. If I have a limited amount of money which I'm willing to invest, how can I judge how best to pace myself? For example, should I put all of the money into the the projects which currently exist, or should I use only a fraction of it, imagining that I should save the rest for the many more projects which will spring up in the future? Perhaps I could put most of the money in now, and shuffle it about as and when new things turn up? The problem here is that I would prefer to invest for the long haul, so moving value around too much may be undesirable.
Also, are the best opportunities around right now, while the space is relatively young and the average Joe hasn't cottoned on? Or will today's offerings be superseded as the space matures? Or is it a bit of each, with current stuff having great long term value, but with future ideas being valuable in addition to current stuff, rather than as replacements?

Life gets in the way of all this cryptoledger stuff!
Oh my word! I can't be the only person who is really struggling to find enough time in the day now that all this crypto stuff has come along. Bitcoin and the ever deepening pool of related things (including LTBcoin!), are so important to the world, but there's too much to explore in too little time.
When at work I'm luck enough to be able to listen to the LTB podcasts, which I love. The problem is that the podcasts only reveal the tip of the iceberg. That's not to say that the material produced on the LTB network is deficient in any way, because most of it is very satisfying. No, the problem is the sheer volume of new projects and ideas arising in this space. I'm getting increasingly thirsty for knowledge about Bitcoin and "Bitcoin 2.0". Sometimes it's tough to know where to focus my efforts - it's so easy to miss something.
Speak up if you're having the same problem! It'd be good to know that I'm not the only one overwhelmed at the moment...

Re: I just bought 1 LTBCOIN
@knircky I just bought 1 LTBCOIN on the distributed exchange. Wonderful to see this project come to live!
Excellent! Did the process go smoothly? I was curious, so I just checked the price of LTBcoin using my Counterwallet. You can get 3606.29723861 LTBcoin per BTC at the moment

Re: Which ear should I listen with?
Thank you both for your input. It's certainly convenient for me that shows are put out in mono.
I'll try using my left ear for a bit to see if it makes any discernible difference from using my usual right ear.Posted on May 22, 2014 at 7:31 PM

Re: What other Podcasts do you listen to?
The Infinite Monkey Cage is a fun and interesting one (it's science mixed with a bit of comedy).
Unfortunately they don't produce material frequently enough for my liking.Posted on May 17, 2014 at 5:45 PM

Which ear should I listen with?
I tend to listen to LTB podcasts when I'm walking around at work. I can only listen with one ear because I need to be able to hear whatever else is going on around me?
My favourite podcasts are the ones which go into more detail on a subject and therefore required greater concentration.
Is there any evidence showing that using a particular ear results in more effective understanding or retention of information than the other?Posted on May 17, 2014 at 5:12 PM

Re: What's your Favorite Show on the LTB Network? Why?
I enjoy all of the LTB podcasts.
I have recently discovered a podcast called "Beyond Bitcoin". It's a new one which shows a good deal of promise.
I don't know about the process by which podcasts become a part of the LTB network, but is this one a possibility?Posted on May 17, 2014 at 5:03 PM
