Re: [WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION] How shall we fight those spammers ?
Bring on those ban hammers! I just asked @Cryptonaut to add the following warning to the post reply area about the consequences we've put in place.
Don't post spam/off-topic. Each time a moderator deletes/buries your forum post, you lose 4 PoP points and the corresponding LTBcoin.

Re: About bitcoins' creation schedule
There's nothing to stop any editor from taking on your work. I won't ask anyone to do so, however.

I have nothing to add. The reasons are in my previous reply.

Re: About bitcoins' creation schedule
@jambo (cc @cryptonaut)
When I replied to you above, I was referring to the general issues we are dealing with at the moment and did not make the connection with your specific case.
Indeed, after your editor worked with you on your previous article, which started with the (controversial) claim that mathematician John Nash was Satoshi and went through three different versions and several iterations to get it into something we could publish, you then told your editor, "They [LTB] won't publish the truth."
This comment is insulting and uncalled for, and I will stand by my editorial team if they are not happy to work with you or reply to your messages.
We work hard to help the LTB community publish their writing on this platform and even go beyond the call of duty, as was your case. The least we expect is some proper respect.

Re: LTB / Tokenly Platform Updates
@dhimmel I agree with @cherapple that the proofreader should get a separate (and IMO sizable) percentage.
We wanted to get this little improvement out fast, so we didn't get it out perfect. For now, there will be more bonuses for those who are working hardest.
@cryptonaut, we are getting lots of spam blog post submissions. Can we get a delete submission with penalty option? Flagging @cherapple and @rotalumis.
Better still, we're trying to make it so you hopefully won't have much spam to begin with. After the editor's cut, we're now discussing an LTBc fee to submit. People who don't have LTBc could work with a broker or freelance editor, who would put up that coin if they think an article has potential.

@cryptonaut Yeah, our editor team has been pretty backed up lately. Revamping the whole submission / editing process is one of our next immediate priorities.
@rotalumis is one of our main editors (I believe he is out of town today though) ah, def need something like a member viewable forum for non editors to sort through proposed articles.
such a back log might even just be standard but no doubt some articles are more time sensitive to others.
Seems like more incentive is needed for editors, although obviously the system is new and growing rapidly.
I wonder if its assured the process will take weeks, im not even sure if my first article is still being considered although it seemingly was ...
thx for the prompt response.
Indeed we're just about to give editors a % cut of the LTBc that the authors currently receive. Details will be announced shortly. As it is, authors get a whole lot, while editors just receive 5000LTBc per published piece (which doesn't even take into account all the other work they do).
And, yes, I'm on the move today and @cherapple is also away for the weekend, though she might be popping in and could maybe take a look at your work.

Re: Adam, Nick and Devon, you've been nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge!
Nice, @loon3! Do you get to nominate three more people? ;)
Gavin Andresen just announced the Hal Finney Bitcoin Fund for ALS Reaserch.

Re: Adam, Nick and Devon, you've been nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge!
What the? I assumed no one would challenge me, and worry about wasting water during the absolutely devastating drought we're suffering here in Southern California. But I supposed I can do it over some grass, and it's extra poignant with the passing of Hal Finney. Hmmmm....
As you have a drought, you can always do it like Matt Damon did it, by using toilet water. Sorry about that info, hee hee.
Our you could forgo a single slice of bread and save 11 gallons for a Challenge or two. It's incredible how much water we use.
To make a burger, first you need 660 gallons of water ...

Re: Thinking of Spamming the Forums? Consider Yourself Warned!
@dpc We should also send a pm to the spammer so they know they will be penalized and lose participation points. Either automatically copy the post and send a message or manually send a pm.
Something like: "Your post was marked as spam. As a result you will lose some of your LTBc distribution. Please only post comments that move the conversation forward. For example rather than posting "I agree" or "me too" you can use the like button. We are glad to have you as a part of the community and hope you can help us keep the quality of our forums high."
Or perhaps someone with writing skills can take a crack.
Good idea.
@cryptonaut, this should probably happen upon delete.
