While most altcoins are getting slaughtered, LTC shines propelled higher by Litepay and a new fork. Bitcoin continues its gains as well but stopped short of a new rally. Bitcoin Higher but Stops Short of New Rally Bitcoin prices traded even higher si...

Hey guys/gals, my name is Matt and I've been studying bitcoin behind the scenes since it's 2010. I'm a materials scientist, UI/UX designer and entrepreneur. I formally worked as a process engineer specializing in the development of thin film material.
In a recent former life I worked in a team of two to develop a hybrid social network that combined core attributes of twitter and facebook into a localized network. Unfortunately, the idea never took as it happens with most social startups. Since then I've spent a large amount of my time studying cryptocurrencies and the problems we need to solve in order to eliminate friction in adoption. I feel the world needs easier ways to mine cryptographic currencies that are outside of computational mining, which is what has led me to LTBcoin.

The moral law is:1. Shutup if you know what to do.2. SHUTUP if you know what to do.3. Don't break the law, pretty please.4. Let people solve the problem on their own. They might do it by accident who knows!
Don't break the law or you will be disqualified. Sorry!! o_O

How many LTBcoins should there be?
Since we're considering the possibility of building into a bigger network incorporating shows outside of Bitcoin media. How many coins should there be?
Adam prefers 51,000,000.

Re: What are/should be the core areas that cover all of LTB's coin distribution?
I guess in a nutshell I'll let someone else speak for me, someone else also obsessed with Conways Game of Life.

Apple is another company fascinated by the idea of Conways Game of Life, except they suck at social networks:

Nobody knows why they stopped the glider?
The function generates a boat, in case you were wondering. This is essentially like a launchpad with the addition of adding a single node the mode continues to evolve. I think they're trying to explain the theory of their operation, but that's just might guess. I also think it's interesting this was released after Jobs died.
Or maybe that the MacBook serves as a boat for new ideas?

Re: Let's set up a Wiki as a guide to LTBcoin
rotalumis said: There's all sorts of useful info and questions being answered on these forums and I think it would make sense to start compiling it all into one place for reference. That would make it easier for newcomers and also everyone else, of course.......
Thoughts? Can we get MediaWiki or a similar platform installed?I like this idea and would like to help organize and contribute content.
MediaWiki seems like a decent platform, bitcoin uses it.Posted on March 18, 2014 at 4:20 PM

Re: How should the LTB Network Operate? Please Check out BetterMeans - Open Enterprise Governance Model
I think we also need to define a list under the core areas of which the DACP will operate as well. So we can begin piecing where each proof of work model will go and how will operate on the foundation of the system.
I've posted my ideas here:

Re: Should LTBcoin forum have a sub-category for discussing nothing but new Proof of Work concepts?
rotalumis said:We could make it all easier to understand by classifying similar activities. The individual activities could keep their long names or not, as we decide.
I'll use short names in my example:
Proof of Participation
--- Registration
--- Comment
--- Vote
Proof of Understanding
--- Education
--- Learning
Proof of Support
--- Tip
--- Social Share
--- Referral
And so on.
Awesome Rob, I think we should have Categories and sub-categories for each one, so we can start collaborating on all the documentation.

Re: What are your thoughts on DeleteCoin? Could LTBcoin use this model?
Here's a visualization of how the system could work:
Referring specifically to the "Gw node" the green represents the gateway and the white represents the creation of new LTBcoins. The only asset you wouldn't want to burn would be XCP/Bitcoin since LTBcoin is built on top of those structures.
All nodes operating on this platform will be supported through their own Gw nodes and sub-nodes. Essentially every node with more than one user has their own Gw sub-node, where donations and tips are received.Posted on March 18, 2014 at 3:58 PM

Re: Subjective Coin Distribution.
book said: Adam it seems you addressed all concerns,
Though I don't know if it is good to distribute to multiple people, especially not casually. Could lead to a whodunnit situation.
I don't know if I have a better idea because I am not familiar with this project yet.Coins need to continue to circulate within the system after the point of initial disbursement and one of the primary goals of the project is to help people gain access to different channels of mining outside of computational mining. I think its important for the community to grow as a whole and continue to work in conjunction for the overall benefit of the network since everyones assets are tied directly to the vale of the overall network.
We will develop proofing models and protocols that verify if users are completing tasks and develop a testnet for deploying "untested proof-of-work models" so we can break these protocols and secure them before they're deployed. Adam had a great idea of developing an LTBcoin asset, something like "FAKELTBcoin" that could be used as a test currency on the test net and would be exchanged for in small percentage to real LTBcoins. Essentially gamifying the initial development process and encouraging a forum for people to hack LTBcoin proofs and be rewarded for it. Given the network will continue to evolve, I think this network could be ongoing in support of the primary network.
TLDR: We're going to examine and develop the most beneficial ways for the community to earn coins that are proven and tested. Initial disbursement of funds is not going to be the long term incentive for users interacting with the network, so areas which govern the operation of the network need to continue to acquire LTBcoins, so the community continues to grow.Posted on March 18, 2014 at 3:21 PM
