  • Re: What skills do you have? What type of team are you looking for?

@CrimsonRoze That's very odd. You aren't the first person to say that the first few comics are missing, but I can never reproduce the problem. It may have something to do with the caching, but even when I try different computers/networks, they all show up just fine for me. I'm sort of at a loss. You could try viewing the non-wordpress version of the site at http://comic.activelydisengaged.com, but some have told me that comics are missing from there as well.

  • Re: Investment strategies with the long term in mind

Unless you are a professional investor, VC, or psychic, my advice is not to try to crystal-gaze or outsmart the future. Either keep what you have in BTC and let it ride comfortably, or satisfy your inner "I don't wanna miss out!" monkey by buying a tiny amount of everything that doesn't look like an obvious scam. Tiny. Very tiny. Then watch things as closely as your free time and sanity will allow and be ready to move if something decides to take off. No, you won't get in at the very beginning of the moonlaunch (except for your tiny amount), but hardly anybody ever does.

  • Re: Feedback for Bitcoin education project

That's a great looking site. For a split-second I didn't realize I needed to click the button after the video, but it didn't take long to figure out. Everything worked fine for me the first time through. I did reload the page once and was unable to type the amount into the tutorial, but that's probably not a very likely scenario.

  • Here We Are Now; Entertain Us!

I've spotted a few posts here and there from people who are thinking of producing entertainment content vs. news/opinion/how-to/etc.     What I haven't noticed is a central place for said people to discuss entertainment projects.      Until now.

So let's figure out how we're going to keep these folks entertained.

My understanding is that the LTB platform will be a collection of "hubs" or "blogs" that are curated by a person or group.   I hope I'm using the right terminology here.   These curators will obtain original content from creators and publish them on their blog at LTB, with LTBCoin changing hands in the process.

So, in addition to the entertainment content creators like me, who is going to be curating entertainment content and what kind of content will they be looking for?   Will there be separate blogs for Bitcoin poetry?  Songs?   Science Fiction stories?   Funny videos?   Comics?   Satire?

Who will running these blogs?    It's probably too early to answer that now, but we can start identifying people who are interested in curating different types of content.

    So, entertainers... introduce yourselves.
    And potential curators... introduce yourselves.

    I'll start:

I'm Disengage.  I produce an ongoing anarchist webcomic at activelydisengaged.com, and I plan on producing a limited-run Bitcoin comic for LTB.      I'm only mildly interested in being a blogger myself.  I will do it if there is a niche that needs filling.    My personal interests are comics, humor, and scifi/fantasy fiction.  If it looks like LTB is going to launch without those sections, then I'll have to do something about that.

    Your turn.

  • Re: Do you Do any of the following things on your smartphone?

I use Swype most often, and occasionally scan QR-codes. Most of these other features are just admittedly-cool solutions in search of a problem.

  • Re: What skills do you have? What type of team are you looking for?

I'm a creative writer, webcomic artist and Bitcoin enthusiast.

    Here's what I do:
Writing (Creative Fiction.  Specifically sci/fi, horror, and fantasy)Writing (Technical, Nonfiction.   News/opinion isn't my thing though)3D Rendering (Not at a professional level, but I can get a point across.  See my webcomic for an example.

With my current workload and what I plan on doing for LTB, my bandwidth is too full for new projects at the moment.   But my LTB project won't be ongoing or long-term thing; once that's done I'd be open for some ACT action.

  • Re: what is the character of LTBcoin?

It isn't an altcoin at all.      It is something that exists on TOP of the blockchain infrastructure that bitcoin and most altcoins use.     It's not a replacement for or alternative to Bitcoin... it is an addition to Bitcoin.   This addition is useful to a particular community of people: the people you see here on this forum.

  • Re: What Every Piece of Content Must Have to be Published & Paid

I meant fiction in general, but I do have an idea for a bitcoin comic that I was considering for submission.

  • Re: What Every Piece of Content Must Have to be Published & Paid

What types of content is LTB looking for.    So far, everything seems geared toward news, opinions, and technical discussions in either a text, audio, or video format.

    What about good old-fashioned entertainment?

  • Re: When did you first start listening to LTB? What is your favorite episode?

I've listened since episode one, when LTB stepped in to fill the gaping void of Bitcoin news and audio content.   My favorite episide is number 87, where you interviewed Charlie Schrem on the even of the Gox collapse.    It was the best episode so far, imo.
