I've seen gimmicky things that I've tried to catch on with, but that other times it just seems downright clunky. Do you actively engage in any of the following device enhancements such as:

Discuss your likes/dislikes about some of these features. I'm seeing a feature bloat pattern similar to the emergence of "presenting X coin to solve this particular X problem" within the alt-coin realm

Argh...damn the dastardly touchpad that I like when browsing but HATE when typing.  Vote "VOICE"  was supposed to be Voice Recognition Text Messaging!
To kick things off, I do find myself Trying to use Swype but often giving up after trying the same word 3 times or more.  Sometimes it makes things seem easier quicker, but I think that all of things things above, (except the old phone) needed to be repetitively/religiously utilized in order to become efficient with them.  You could even say that me "NEEDING" to remember to press the fn shortcut key to disable the touchpad should become a more common pattern for me to be able to circumvent muck ups like the paragraph above in the future.
Same thing happened to me when I started using the Voice Assisted Google NOW - I found that it works great for me when I'm trying to navigate to someplace using voice recognition, but terrible on text messages and for using the google now search engine.

I do all of those things accept video voicemail, because my provider doesn't offer that feature, and NFC, because my iPhone doesn't support it. It's important to remember the truth that several makers of stripped down word processors discovered in the early 90's: 99 percent of users only use 10 percent of available features, the trouble is, they all use a different 10 percent!

I use Swype most often, and occasionally scan QR-codes. Most of these other features are just admittedly-cool solutions in search of a problem.

This poll seems to not allow multiple choices.

@puck2 yeah, I agree. I think it'd be more informative if there was the ability to chose multiples not just make a blanket statement.

Can more than three of the above include other?  I like QR but I never seem to use the voice related features like facetime/Siri as I'm in public and don't announce to the world what I'm trying to do.

I think Voice related features are the incoming trend. But right now, it's still...

    Same here.
Swype keyboards (and others which work in the same way) I find VERY useful. I'm surprised how few people seem to use them. Many people I come across aren't even aware of the swipe functionality of some of the touch screen keyboards.
In my experience it is much quicker than "tap" typing and mistakes are few and far between.
