Re: Idea to Encouraging Tipping
@maciejolpinski - Wow. This is a huge vision. I had to read it a couple of times to get my head around it. It really could revolutionize the way content is curated and promoted. Exciting stuff!

Re: Let's set up a Wiki as a guide to LTBcoin
Super. http://wiki.ltbcoin.com is now the new official URL of the wiki. Thanks Adam.
@dvsbyknight, feel free to start adding content to the wiki. It is open for anyone to edit. There are some great suggestions at the top of this forum post for content that needs to be added.
To create a page, just search for a page that doesn't exist yet. You will be presented with an option to create that page. Then just create the content and save. Here are some formatting instructions.Posted on March 20, 2014 at 12:12 PM

Re: Let's set up a Wiki as a guide to LTBcoin
@Adam, can you point wiki.ltbcoin.com to 107.170.93.89?
wiki.ltbcoin.com. A 107.170.93.89
I think that would be a much better URL for the wiki.Posted on March 19, 2014 at 9:03 PM

Re: Let's set up a Wiki as a guide to LTBcoin
I bought a cheap domain, some inexpensive reliable hosting and I went ahead and set up mediawiki on a new server:
Here's the wiki:http://ltbwiki.cryptocontent.us/Comments? Questions? Different domain? Let me know.

Re: Project Needing Developers: Clone of http://helpmewrite.co/ powered by LTBcoin
I'm putting together a FAQ. Here is a first pass with some rough ideas.
Please respond with comments, suggestions and correct me where I am wrong.
LTB Coin IdeasA High Level OverviewElevator Pitch for LTBcoin IdeasUsers submit new content ideas. Users pay LTBcoin to promote their favorite ideas. When the idea is produced, all users who contributed to the bounty will receive LTBcoin as a reward.
QuestionsWhere does the bounty go?
Bounties are paid to the LTB network and not directly to the content producers.
Why would a content producer choose a promoted content idea from this site?
Content producers want to produce content that is popular because they can receive more revenue from sponsors. LTB Coin Ideas is a good indicator of what will be popular.
Where do the funds come from to pay backers?
10% of the content producer's proceeds will be used to pay back backers when the content is published.
Why would a user want to back an idea?
Because it is an idea they are interested in and they want to consume the content. In addition, if the idea has a high value (Proof of Value), backers will receive LTBcoin back over time.
Can a producer create content and fulfill the bounty?
No. Even if a content producer accidentally claims a bounty, the 10% share is paid to the idea.
What if a piece of content fulfills multiple bounties?
Good question. Ideas?

Re: Project Needing Developers: Clone of http://helpmewrite.co/ powered by LTBcoin
Sweet.
I think a great first step is to come up with some rough mockups or wireframes demonstrating how the functionality works. I'll work on this part as time allows me this week.
Fortunately helpmewrite.co has given us a great reference. We just need to think through some of the payment/reward functionality.
As for a timeline, I can't imagine this will be ready by the LTBcoin launch date. We'll have a better target date after we spec out a 1.0 features list.Posted on March 18, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Re: Project Needing Developers: Clone of http://helpmewrite.co/ powered by LTBcoin
Unless I'm working on a one-file project, I use object oriented classes separated by namespaces.
Using this approach let's one easily take advantage of some high-quality Composer packages (from https://packagist.org/) and can really speed up development time. And I find it essential for testing and maintaining larger projects.
I know that Drupal is still largely procedural (at least until v8 comes out).Posted on March 18, 2014 at 8:53 PM
