http://helpmewrite.co/ already does most of what we need. Here's what it should do:Users can propose ideas for people to write about or do a segment about.  If people think the proposal is good, they send LTBcoin to the proposal, the more LTBcoin a proposal has the higher it shows up in the list of ideas (when sorted by that).
That LTBcoin is held in escrow (on the blockchain? is this safe to do on a server?) until somebody makes a piece of content that is published, then part of the reward from the piece being published goes to all the people who funded the bounty for its creation.
The bounty is split between the person who proposed the idea and the platform.
Hopefully you see where I'm going with this.  it's been a long couple of weeks (I'll be taking Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning away from the computer), so please help define what this should look like and how it should work.   We want the incentives to line up to reward everybody in a way that raises the bar for quality.

I wrote up a description as a separate post, but I'll include it here.

    Scenario:

    - Consider the case where an LTBcoin listener wants to learn more about some cryptocurrency topic, wants to learn more about an altcoin, or wants to invest in a cryptocurrency company.

    Project Details:

The content bounty operates like this:

End to end idea submission and delivery:

    - The LTBcoin user submits a new show/blog idea or "+1" a submitted idea.- The idea is entered into a queue of content bounties visible to LTBcoin users and content makers and is sorted by the number of "+1" received. A content maker is free to choose any show that interests them.- The content maker does research + interviews and assembles the show/post on the topic they've chosen from the content bounty.
    - The show is released and content makers are paid 90% of their standard LTBcoin by the LTBcoin network.
    - The person or group who submitted or "+1" a submitted idea get 10% of the LTBcoin reward.- The bounty topic is inserted into a 'claimed bounty list' and removed from the current bounty list.
    - If someone re-enters a topic that's been submitted and addressed, they are presented with a link to the shows/posts related to the claimed bounty.

    Up for debate
    - Who determines whether a content bounty has been addressed? Is this determined by listeners or the content maker submitting the story?
    - Listeners: They could say the content hasn't been addressed and multiple content makers can address the content bounty.
    - Content Makers: The content is considered addressed when the bounty post/show is submitted.

The problem with this is that the content is already going to be compensated if published so the incentives are already there.

I remember briefly talking to you about this concept when we were talking to bitwall a while back.
This would also work well for representatives of companies and project developers etc to pitch their service/product to LTB in order to get an interview or product review etc. Some may opt to not accept the bounty (eg. well-funded startup) and defer it to the community (those who funded the bounty) and/or the platform.
Something i'm often interested in are follow-up stories. I know this is a fast paced industry and a lot of projects and topics can get lost in the dust. It would be great if a list of past guests was compiled by the LTB team and curated for conversations about topics (including services/products) that make sense to have a follow-up to get updates 3 to 6 months later. You could (re)publish a clip and transcript from that show segment refresh the audiences memory or introduce it to those who missed it... and maybe the guest adds some comments to help garner interest in the latest updates that he/she can provide if given the opportunity to be interviewed and aired on the show again.
Of course, ambitious reporting requires a lot of resources so where this may fit best at the end of the day are these ongoing investigative journalism pieces where it will take a series of posts to more or less complete a "Story". Gox, Dorian, Silk, Theft, Regulation and so on.... depth of info in the bitcoin space seems endless. These bounties can help keep reporters focused on important stories rather that getting lured into covering a myriad of other topics. Pros and cons to this but of course editorial management by LTB would still take precedence.

I've been looking for an opportunity to get involved with LTBcoin as a developer and this project is a good fit for my skillset.
    Here is a rough blueprint:
    - The code is open source on GitHub- I can take project lead and manage the dev. community- The tech stack is PHP (Ubuntu Linux/Nginx/PHP 5.5+/MongoDB)
If this happened, would other devs pitch in and contribute?

    Any other comments?

I'm not a dev, but I'm in support.

    Hi, deweller.

I'm a PHP (Drupal) developer.  I have not worked with MongoDB yet.  It's usually MySQL that I work with.  I'd be willing to contribute a bit if Adam gives you the green light and you get the ball rolling.

Do you take advantage of PHP's OO aspects, or do you take the procedural approach?

Unless I'm working on a one-file project, I use object oriented classes separated by namespaces.
Using this approach let's one easily take advantage of some high-quality Composer packages (from https://packagist.org/) and can really speed up development time.  And I find it essential for testing and maintaining larger projects.
I know that Drupal is still largely procedural (at least until v8 comes out).

To be clear, you have the green light from me.  Let me know how I can help.
