  • Re: TCA source code

    The code is part of "Tokenly" which is the name of the system we are building here for LTB (the software that powers this site). Its open source and can be found here: https://github.com/cryptonaut420/tokenly

    important to note though that the system is not really at the point yet where someone who is not a programmer could easily setup and customize it. Token Controlled Access stuff also requires you to have a dedicated bitcoin node & counterparty server, which also requires some technical knowledge (linux command line interface).

  • Re: Do you think we're finally gonna see the mining difficulty drop some?

    yep I think we are starting to get pretty close to the point where some miners are going to be forced to shut down or start losing money everyday

  • Re: Bitcoin is lower $300

    damn, hold on to your hats! I was reading on reddit earlier that apparantly there is a huge 30,000 BTC sell wall being sold off, biggest ever seen on bitstamp. Either someone is cashing out big time or just raping the market so they can buy in cheap or something

  • Re: Anyone care to review this service?

    this is the actual URL if you want to get past OP's url shortener... https://hashprofit.com/en/

  • Re: [PETAVOTE Result] New token bootstrapping discussion

    @troy112 @Cryptonaut i think we can get b.sell separately, and but it's prices are also going down... rather exponentially. We need something a bit stable...

    Yeah, I agree. Thats why I am kind of thinking it might not be a good idea to go strictly with cloud mining operations, since ever increasing difficulty keeps driving things down, unless the operation is able to keep up with hardware upgrades, but with the crashing BTC price that is probably making things a lot harder for miners. Our best bet would probably be to diversify into a handful of different types of stuff

    also anyone have any ideas for the name of the new token that will be created?

  • Re: Your Favourite Exchanges

    @bernhard

    @cryptonaut localbitcoins all the way :p

    why local buy/sell bitcoins? I dont understand, there is no reason to send bitcoins local unless you pay in cash in person

    what do you mean? localbitcoins.com is a website that lets you buy and sell bitcoin to people individually. You can meet someone in person and buy/sell, or (depending on your country) do it through your online banking or cash deposits.

  • Re: [PETAVOTE Result] New token bootstrapping discussion

    @cryptomatic

    @troy112 @cryptomatic Wow great way to ruin the thread. Are you even invested in this? If you were you would have know how much fees counterparty takes.

    0.005 is exactly how much counterparty charges for fees. It would be incorrect to saying otherwise.

    actually, its 0.0005 (an extra zero in there). Also, I have no idea where you got "we just collectively spent 5.5 BTC in fees" from... that would be like 11,000 individual transactions. The actual number of transactions from people voting is only around 25, which comes out to just over 0.01 BTC. Not sure why that is relevant anyway

    @troy112 When you make new token please make a new forum. And what about B.SELL at Havelock?

    Yes there will be a new forum made for it. B.SELL is an option yeah (would probably want to get both B.SELL and B.MINE I think). More info on BSELL: https://www.havelockinvestments.com/fund.php?symbol=B.SELL

  • Re: LTB / Tokenly Platform Updates

    Quick status update, been a little while:

    • Forum API almost complete. Documentation can be found on the tokenly github repository, but I will post more about that when its totally done next week
    • Notification emails now show what the message is when you are mentioned in a post or someone posts in a topic you are subscribed to. Currently this shows up in the notifications dropdown also... which is a bug and will be fixed shortly.
    • You no longer get Proof of Participation points for forums in private boards (to avoid hidden boards used as spam farms)
    • Issues from the trello "platform support" board have been moved over to the Issues section on the github repository (and a few new ones added). Should work a bit better for other developers for it all to be in the same place I think. View issues here (and feel free to open a bug report or something): https://github.com/cryptonaut420/tokenly/issues

    Should have the forum API complete fairly soon here, and then will be working on improving the blog article submission and editing system
