What's your scariest moment in Bitcoin?

I'll start with 2:

1) March 2013 - I started downloading the blockchain on my mac because I thought I'd check out this newfangled bitcoin thing after reading an article. I spent all day (now it takes like a week!) waiting for it to sync with the network and it finally did. I open the client and here is what I read at the top:

URGENT: chain fork, stop mining on version 0.8

Holy crap! For a non-programmer with almost 0 knowledge of Bitcoin that was pretty terrifying thing to read. I found a few sites talking about it and it seemed like the world was ending at the time! And what the hell is a chain fork?! (I know now, of course).

I deleted the client right away since I wasn't sure what it would do to my computer and missed about 4 months of mining/learning before I revisited Bitcoin again.

2) After getting over my fear of a chain fork, I mined some bitcoin on my graphics card and sent it from one address to another using Multibit. It didn't display a pending transaction into the second address, and I was losing it over my $.01 that had just been lost in the interweb. It showed up about 6 minutes later and all was well but it was still very scary! I always triple-check addresses unless I'm using only QR codes.

I think my scariest Bitcoin moment came this past winter when all those hacks took place. I mean I lost a little bit of coin from these sites and have learned a valuable lesson in keeping my coins a little safer.

Isn't today one of the most scary moment of bitcoin?

The value has dropped from 440$ to 380$ in 24 hours, luckily now recovered a little but it's still scary!

Hold and you won't regret it, right now bitcoin is undervalued and all the panic sellers will cry in few weeks.

I'm sure something else has scared me more, but distressing was mysteriously losing 1 BTC from my 2FA Blockchain.info wallet. The Bitcoin went to another address for one day (no other funds at that address), and then moved to a massive address (I think 100K+ BTC), which had been discussed on different forums as being connected to other smaller Crypto thefts (but not Blockchain thefts). I still have no clue how that happened, though it was before Heartbleed was discovered. I was disappointed that Blockchain support was not very helpful.
