We're going to auction LTBCOINSEAT s which represent tradable invitations to the LTBcoin weekly hangouts. I would like a service that monitors and address and when somebody sends a LTBCOINSEAT to it, the link to join the hangout is displayed to them, or emailed to an address they put in.
Then I won't have to manually handle inviting people, what do you think? This seems simple to build, but I would need a backend interface where I could set the specific XCP asset that it accepts (a different one for each hangout) and where I can put the address it should display as a join link.
Anybody up for it?

@loon3 @saeed @cryptocoin @Elliot @werneo you've all identified yourselves as web developers of some sort, so I am pinging you :)

Interesting to note, the address would receive bitcoin dust because the Vote would ride the bitcoin, so it might be profitable to run such a service just on the dust.

Unfortunately, my skills are limited to iOS development. This is a good idea, but not a great fit for me-CC

What happens if the LTBCOINSEAT token gets passed around during the week? Or will you activate this service at the last minute just before the hangout?

It will become active shortly before.

This seems pretty interesting. Wouldn't mind taking a shot at this one if there are no objections. Let me just double check that I have the workflow correct.
Admin Workflow:Admin goes to service backend via login.Sets a receiving address and invitation link.Has option to trigger redemption now or set a window for future time.Service monitors block-chain for LTBCOINSEAT sent to given address.Service sends email to users based on matching paying address.Service stops montioring after window closes.User Workflow:User sets email address & sending address during account setup.During redemption window user sends LTBCOINSEAT from XCP wallet to Admins address.User receives invitation link in email.Am I missing something here?
Is it possible to stop someone from creating an account with an address that isn't theres , which would allow them to game the system and receive the link?
Anyways, I could think of a lot of other features that might also be helpful for the service but would want to keep things very minimal for the MVP, see what I did there. =P0 likes -

I'm also interested in working on this project. I spent a little time working on this last night.
Here is my take on the workflow:
Admin Workflow:Set asset name Set ending dateManually issue LTBCOINSEAT_X in counterpartySet the hangout invitation link (This must be done at a later time)User Workflow:User buys LTBCOINSEAT_X in counterparty wallet (outside our app)To redeem, the user visits website and enters an email addressA special one-time receiving address is created.
User sends LTBCOINSEAT_X in counterparty to unique receiving addressUser receives link via email at the designated timeBackend Service:Monitors all unique addresses created in step User 2aSends an email to each redeemed user with the hangout linkQuestions:
Is it free to create a unique counterparty receiving address just like in bitcoin?Saeed, do you want to team up to do this or would you prefer to move ahead on your own? What is your development language of choice?0 likes -

I see, by creating a one time receiving address you can avoid issue of someone gaming the sending address.
I'm not 100% sure if you're able to create unique counterparty receiving addresses. Because it's built on top of Bitcoin, my guess would be yes.
Wouldn't mind teaming up for this at all. Was thinking about trying this out in python or ruby (mainly to gain experience in those languages).
If you've already got a project started in something else, I wouldn't mind running with that. I'm pretty flexible.1 like -

Counterparty addresses are bitcoin addresses. I thought about using the blockchain.info Receive Address API for this but the amount of bitcoin sent during the XCP transaction is below their minimum threshold. You'd probably be better off using a deterministic wallet to create new receiving addresses.
You could then use Blockscan.com's API to monitor the LTBCOINSEAT balance at each created sending address to trigger sending the invite email.

I'm most productive developing in PHP. And I find Go the most interesting right now. Any strong feelings on either of those two languages?0 likes
