Counter Wallet Empty!

I logged into counterwallet to see how much ltbcoin I have and to my surprise it created a new account. The new account was of course empty. I'm using Keepass for a password manager so I don't see any changes on my end. Is there anything to do?

  you did save a backup of the 12 word passphrase right? As long as you have access to that you should be able to get in

  Isn't that what I login with? When I put that in, it created a new wallet.

  seems like I need to get the private keys from the old wallet to import into the new wallet. How is this done though?

  yeah that is what you log in with, but I think you can setup a regular password for it which is what I thought you meant.

  um, thats strange.. so when you enter it in it just has a fresh wallet with different addresses and no balances? Are you sure you are not on testnet or something?

  Sometime WHOLE addresses disappear for me, then come back. Counter Wallet has a lot of problems.

  There was one time when I typed in my pass-phrase slightly wrong but the 'open wallet' button still showed as clickable. I basically opened a new wallet. Double check to make sure you're typing it in correctly since your original account should still be there. Either that or someone got a hold of your pass-phrase but even then you'd be able to access the history and see that the tokens/assets were withdrawn to another account.

  Probably you only typed a different passphrase, your coins are still in the same wallet.

  Maybe you typed : https://testnet.counterwallet.co/# instead of https://www.counterwallet.co/# ? If you login into the testnet-address you see an empty wallet.

  I also tried to log in today in order to see my balances. I was told I would be creating a NEW account with my OLD password. I was unable to see my coins. I was assuming that Counterparty is having some issues. I'll wait it out.

  Perhaps I should also point out...

  I cannot see my balances on this site either.

  @eddie mentioned he is using KeePass which means he probably doesn't type out a password. I am using something similar.

  I'm guessing there are a bunch of people who never switched from the old to new wallets and now their coins are lost. From what I understand, you must install python, bip32untils, and use a script to get your private keys from an old wallet. Then import them into a new wallet. It doesn't seem very easy.

  I also posted in the counterparty forum, unfortunately clearing my cache didn't do the trick. This response seems more related to missing addresses not old wallets.

  It seems this might be the solution if you have the patience. I know Cryptonaut does a lot around here but I'm not sure people will be able to find the support they need to recover their coins. More info about the process here https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,507.0.html
