@pooktwo Do you know what "WU" stands for? as seen in the colums at the team stats page

@mengine WU is "work Units" basically want this is is the actual particular protein that you are working on (you know how in the program you have a status bar, that status bar is the actual WU) the reason why you can have a lot of credits but not that many WU, or a lot of WU and not that many credits is basically the difference in folding a protein with a CPU or GPU. GPUs automatically fold larger protein molecules that would take a CPU a very long time to do. So with a GPU you only accumulate a WU every day or 2 (depending on your GPU) but you receive alot of credits because it was a more complicated task. CPUs deal with less complicated proteins, it seems like with a good processor you can create 2-3 WU a day but since they are less complicated, you dont receive that many credits.

Both are important as they deal with differnet medical research, but the network will match up a WU to your particular device in accordance to its power and ability to maximize your credit accumulation.

Ok thanks for the good explanation, that explains then why I have many WUs compared to addresses close to my rank. I have for some reason not been able to activate the GPUs on any of my machines, they just go into failed. the graphics cards that I have tried are Nvidia, AMD and intel cards.

@mengine many people have asked about this same problem and i dont seem to have it :( i offer a team viewer session if anybody wants one including yourself to have a look, our you could go to https://foldingforum.org/ to find the actual folding forum that has been around for a while. Im doing my own research on this and will share with everyone once i find the problem. I dont know if NVIDIA requires you to have CUDA installed or not either, that is a possibility, (or maybe your particular GPU isnt supported)

I think it is maybe related to me using only open source drivers on these computers. Ill have a look at the forums tomorrow, good night :)

It was brought to our attention in another thread that a folder may have missed being paid FLDC for some folding credits. After looking into it, we have done a little tuning of our software.

For those in the know, there are three main components of our software: "Snapshot" "Calculate" and "SummaryLinks". Snapshot is what figures out each day's active folders and credits, Calculate converts this into FLDC values and emails the list to the admins, and SummaryLinks adds the report links you can click on on our web site.

We think Snapshot was not allowing enough time before Calculate and may have missed some folders. We only had a 5 minute delay. This worked quite well on our development box, and our production server is MUCH MUCH faster, so 5 minutes should have been fine.

But out of an abundance of caution, we are changing to a one hour delay between Snapshot and Calculate. Also, we are moving the Snapshot from 18:30 eastern USA time, to 00:05 eastern USA time. Calculate will be one hour later at 01:05 and SummaryLinks one hour later than that, 02:05.

Robert has already paid out the missing FLDC to the user who brought this to our attention. This FLDC came from Roberts personal holdings, not the distribution wallet.
