  I've been using Telegram for a while, and am linked to quite a few user group chats. When I installed Gems, it weasled its way into Telegram's chats and basically 'took over' the notifications stream thereby duplicating it. This may be unintentional, or possibly disabled. My solution was to just delete it.

  If you don't use Telegram, Gems looks pretty good. I have no idea if the Gems crypto is anything other than a gimmick. Using bitcoins for add views & referrals would be simpler.

  I have had issues sharing cat pictures with my wife since the March update. On both Kit Kat and Lollypop both our clients popup a window asking us to register eachother as new clients when sharing pictures. Often I will need to sign up again just so I can login to the client. I wish there was a way to communicate this to the developers as I don't feel that we are the only ones affected by this.

  I'm using the android version but haven't really tried using any bitcoin features on it. Latest version seems to always want me to use these random emoticons which is kind of annoying.

  Heheh. Damn Apps messing with the ability to see Kittehs. I've held off so far downloading Gems for Android. Is it still worth the download?

  No. It is impossible to share photos' and it has lost my account four times. I have downgraded to the software they forked, Telegram. At least Telegram sells less of your private information than whatsapp

  i use getgems and it works great. Picture sharing works really easy on my phone. @jorjxmckie I believe Getgems and telegram are merging, but dont hold me to that.

  The best thing about this app is i have been able to get my girlfriend to download it despite her not really caring about bitcoin. However, once she had the app i sent sent some bitcoin and shes started to get interested, noting when it goes up and down.

  The app may not be to everyones liking yet, but it could be a useful tool for greater market infiltration!
