If you purchased Gems in the crowdsale from Koinify, you must withdraw them soon (see link below). Also, I suggest that you send them to your existing Counterparty wallet and not to your GetGems iOS app. I sent a withdrawal from Koinify a few days ago and it is still not showing in the iOS app. I'm waiting on a response from [email protected].

@coffeefire i use getgems and it works great. Picture sharing works really easy on my phone. @jorjxmckie I believe Getgems and telegram are merging, but dont hold me to that.

I could go for that. They seem very similar already.

So I looked into GetGems a bit more. They actually use the telegram servers to send messages between devices. You can therefore see when telegram users are online and they can see you. I think telegram has around 60million users so getgems should get a lot of exposure to those users - and fingers crossed those people will get interested and get themselves a bitcoin wallet on getgems :)

Telegram users can send bitcoins using its Telebit feature. I've tested it, but see little reason to use it. Most members of my local Bitcoin Meetup group use Telegram constantly, and yet I've never seen anyone use Telebit. If someone wanted to send BTC they'd probably use private mssg to easily set something up manually. Weren't gems tokens created to incentivize users to see advertising? I wonder how that is working?
