  • Re: [AUCTION] [Adam B. Levine] [Weekly End Date Sunday Noon Pacific] Hour Long Consultation via Skype (High Bid 6500)

    @adam

    @william

    @rob @Adam, I feel like this thread is very confusing, and not being managed like the other LTB auctions are. Your signature on every post links here, which makes me think this is still an active weekly auction. If that's the case, the auction ends today at noon pacific time, and the current two highest bids are 15,000 LTBc by @dsmalone and 10,000 by @Zero4ce (note that both bidders expressed being unclear if the auction is going on as they posted their bids). Are two separate hours still being auctioned every week?

    To make it confusing, your initial post references only early bids in the first auction, and the name of this page indicates it's filed under "Completed Auctions." I've seen you post in this thread, but you haven't addressed questions @william and I had about auctions we won, and you haven't made it clear if this auction is live or not.

    Assuming you are still auctioning off your time, I think you need a manager to handle this auction. I think it's really unclear what is going on, and as a winner of the first auction, I feel like the terms have changed a few times, and I'm not really sure if there's urgency to me using the hour of your time (at one point I was excited that you said a token was mentioned as being issued to the winner, but that post seems to have been deleted).

    I paid adam 11,500 for the hour I won last week. I emailed Krystal to ask about getting a token to redeem instead of scheduling the hour now, as I have no immediate need of consulting--but expect that I will have some in the future. Maybe technical questions about a future article, for example. I haven't heard back yet about the token possibility, but I understand Adam might not want to do this, since his schedule is pretty packed and he doesn't want to accumulate owed hours... I know that automated bidding is in the works, which should really smooth out the bidding.

    Actually i'm just slammed, when I get time I need to create a new token and send it out to people who won hours but dont want to yet redeem the time. I didnt really think about that.

    Whats going to happen is I'll have two hours for sale per week and two hour long slots per week. The slots will be first come first serve at least for a while.

    Cool.

  • Re: Melotic bitcoin withdrawal frozen [FIXED]

    @silvergoldandbitcoin Hey all. So I tried to withdraw 0.022... BTC from Melotic after selling a bit of LTBc. It is now listed the balance as frozen, and nothing has come over the blockchain yet.

    It's been almost 6 hours. is this normal for Melotic? This is the first time I've used the site.

    Also, has anyone else experienced this?

    Have you confirmed in your email? I have deposited and withdrawn from Melotic mostly without issues, but there is a forum post I wrote earlier about a transaction that only went through partially. I contacted tech support though and they corrected it. I have made sure to watch closely since then though that the numbers are right. I just withdrew BTC from Melotic today with now issues.

  • Re: LTBcoin stats page

    @adam

    @william Nice stats page. A question on PoV... This is for authors, right? I see that comments on articles count as 4 and page views count as 1. Is this paid only once, or are additions to these numbers calculated every week, even for old articles?

    PoV is the second half of the content allocation - It is reckoned and rewarded exactly four weeks after the start of the week it published, and everything published within that week is compared by performance.

    Thats pageviews (1 each) comments (+4 each) and then podcasts recieve a 4x multiplier on the pageviews since the majority of users consume podcasts without ever visiting its particular content page. In the future the comparative listening metrics will be magic words and sponsor revenue in LTBc

    Thanks for the clear explanation. I like that PoV is calculated at four weeks out from publication.

    @adam

    @cryptocoin

    @adam Thanks Tatiana ;) Good idea, I'll get some additional references from folks I've worked with. @tatianamoroz

    Adam & Tatiana, I think it's REALLY cool what yall have done with Tatiana coin. Can we expect some reflections at some point about what worked and what didn't? Would love to avoid the mistakes yall may have made, not re-invent the wheel, and pioneer into some new lands at the same time..

    @CryptoCoin

    Yes! We've already done that to a certain point with the live hangouts on the youtube channel (can s omebody else link? don't have time atm)

    I think there was also a recap on a podcast... Which episode, I forget

  • Re: What time are LTB payouts?

    @wct296 I'm hanging for my first LTBCoin payout :) Wonder how much I'll get (3 magic words, a few comments)..

    I think you need a few more comments. Minimum is 5. I think.

    @coinfire

    @cyberclones So I just went to coinfire for the first time because of the ad on ltb (see they work) and I just want to say that I really like the look of the site and I'm proud to add that I will be adding it to my regular list of sites I check out.

    Great job with the site and please keep up the great work.

    Thanks, we love what LTB is doing as well!

    We are going to keep trying to provide the best coverage!

    Thank you @CrimsonRoze for bringing this thread to my attention as well.

    How did that DDoS play out?

    Bit the bullet and paid for CloudFlare and they got it resolved with me. Expensive but better than being terrorists.

    Glad you got it resolved. Sorry it was so costly. I guess that's the price ofdoing biz in this space...
