Re: Doctor, doctor....
@rob Ha, I just posted this photo yesterday, with the drug inference with a bunch of bags of Bitcoin keychains.

If you ever want to promote this to be an article, you're welcome to use the image.
...
@mike This would be a good narrative style for a weekly forum roundup.
That's what I thought as I was reading along.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I'd have put more thought into it if I knew someone would mention the possibility of promoting it as an article!
My original idea was just someone wittering on about Bitcoin and the other person not knowing what they're talking about. Then I thought of making it a "doctor, doctor joke" and decided to post it here. I made it long just to hide the punch line.
I only spent a few minutes on it, so it could have been written and arranged so much better. I agree that the narrative style would be a good way to put together a weekly forum roundup. Does anyone with the time to research and compose such a thing fancy doing it?

Re: "Flooding" of the market
My knowledge of markets and economics is extremely limited, but there is one important element which I imagine is playing an important role here. It's the fact that the people to whom LTBcoin is being distributed have had to get involved with the network and the community. Effort and time has gone into contributing and learning about the LTB network and the coin which comes with it. I imagine in most cases this will result in the distributees feeling quite attached to the space in which they've found themselves immersed. They perhaps will assign significant value to LTBcoin because they associate it with the work they've done in order to acquire it, and also because they have learned how groundbreaking LTBc is in itself. This means that for people with LTBc there will be less inclination to dump the coins the moment the distribution occurs, (or at least to ask a high price for it).
Personally, I prefer to
HODL!!!
at least for a while.

Doctor, doctor....
Patient: Doctor, doctor I'm addicted to Bitcoin! When I wake up the first thing I do is shout, "BITCOIN AHOY!".
I get in the shower and have to sing Ode to Satoshi really loudly until a passer-by throws a rock through my window (I guess so they can hear me better).
Then I get dressed, smelling my socks which I bought with Bitcoin as I do so. I love to darn those socks - at least 27% of the cotton in them is original!
I have to have alphabetti spaghetti for breakfast so I can spell out "I love Bitcoin" on the toast. Sometimes there's no letter "v" in the tin, so I just write on the wall instead.
When I drive to work I catch up on the latest LTB podcasts. Occasionally I swerve all over the road a little bit as I try to remember the "magic word" for later. I can't wait to see if the LTB network will start a subscription service for early release episodes and audio versions of all their content! Chain Radio's launching next week too.
Sometimes I accidentally drive into the side of the local bank because I went into a daydream, imagining a time in the future when the bank is no longer there. When this happens I get locked up and have to spend my time inside thinking about Bitcoin.
When I get to the office I send all of my work to someone the other side of the world, and they do it for me. I pay them with Bitcoin because it's better than using Western Union. I'm hoping to get locked up for this too, so I can spend my time in prison thinking about Bitcoin. I spend my time at work reading articles on http://letstalkbitcoin.com because they haven't made them available in audio format yet. Nevermind, at least I earn LTBcoin for doing it
On my drive home I listen to year old episodes of LTB which I missed the first time round. I love it. It reminds me how lucky I am to have Bitcoin in my life.
When I get home I turn on my computer and open up a couple of Bitcoin related windows in the browser. One of them will often be http://letstalkbitcoin.com again, so I'll keep refreshing the page to see if there are any new topics or articles to read! The other may be something like Winkdex. I like to press Alt-Tab really really really quickly to flash between the windows until I feel sick! I call this a Bitcoin high. I think it's legal.
Then I eat a tin of Spam and go upstairs to pray (A Bitcoin Prayer:
Our Satoshi, who art in hiding
Hallowed be thy name
Thy protocol done
Wallets will come
On clients as they are on paper
Give us this day our daily Bitcoin
And forgive us our speculation
As we forgive those who use silk road
And lead us not into no confirmation
But deliver us from fiat
For thine is the blockchain, the power and the glory
For ever and ever
Anon
Then I go to bed shouting, "BITCOIN AHOY!", and I dream of Bitcoins and Gravy!
Is there anything you can do to help me?
Doctor: What's Bitcoin?

Re: Tomorrows episode (128) will feature a series of blockchain puzzles - stay tuned!
To save people hunting around here is an article which tells you how to hunt around! :) It's called "Detailed Instructions on How to Play a Bitcoin BrainWallet Scavenger Hunt Game".

Re: Chain Radio Is Live
Have you any plans to add Chain Radio to TuneIn or anything similar? There are loads of apps like this, and it would make it very convenient for people to listen on their mobile devices (TuneIn Radio has over 50,000,000 downloads in the Google Play Store).

Re: Would You Pay for Early Access? What about all articles-as-audio for commuters?
I like the idea of having all of the site's content made available in audio format. For people such as commuters it will save a great deal of time (you can't read while you drive). Personally this opportunity for efficiency with my use of time would be much more valuable to me than getting the podcast early.

Re: JEDI Lesson: No smarter than you
@jayek Life's what we decide to make of it....Thanks for posting @Matt..reminds me of a video on divergent thinking and our educational paradigm.
The way education works in schools is very frustrating when looked at like this. Is it feasible for parents who are aware of the problem to offset it satisfactorily outside of school? I really doubt it.
Please Sir, can we start everything from scratch, but with the knowledge which is available now?

Re: Should LTB charge for its podcasts
I'm not sure on this one, it all depends on how the numbers would balance out. I'm sure some listeners would pay for anything they can get their hands on. The podcasts are often intriguing, and somewhat addictive.
On the other hand, having to pay for selected material would act as a barrier to entry for people who aren't yet into this Bitcoin stuff. As it stands currently, anyone who would consider listening to podcasts and who may find themselves wondering about ctyptocurrencies may well end up listening to LTB. If parts of podcasts were no longer free, new listeners could get frustrated. The podcast would have to be enthralling for newbies to bother paying for the extra material. If mass adoption of crypto or the LTB network is the goal, this could be a hindrance.
I'm basing my opinions on my view that a lot of people dislike having to pay for stuff which they're used to getting for free, (even if it is only micropayments we're talking about). I'm not really in a position to know what I'm talking about here, but this is one obvious perspective, which I've chosen to state just to start off the discussion.

Re: JEDI Lesson: No smarter than you
Dear JEDI,
The video to which @Matt has posted a link is very short and worth a watch.
As a child I didn't think about life in this way. Now, as an adult, I do think about life in this way. The strength of thought is increasing as I get older. Unfortunately I haven't really started to act as though I think in this way. I can feel the change coming though. I wonder what it will take for me to wake up and start acting like I think.

Re: [1,000LTBc Weekly] For Your Signature - Enrollment CLOSED
I'd like to make a suggestion. I think it would be more effective to have the whole of the signature link to your url, rather than just the "Bitcoin Radio" part of it. I reckon this will capture more people because they'd be more likely to hover over it (my instinct is to put the cursor to the the Chain Radio part first).
Have you already considered this?
P.S. I'm interested in enrolling in the future.
