Re: Whats your price for LTBCOIN?
@robmitchell I wanted to share my experience with LTBcoin's value, to date. My first transaction was for design work, and I was paid in LTBcoin, at an agreed upon value of $0.01/LTBcoin.
Next exchange of LTBcoin was the first user drop, and I was surprised how substantial it ended up being.
And I've agreed to purchase a display ad on LTB.com (one of three ads auctioned off), at a price of only 1100 LTBcoin. I think that was a screaming deal, even at the higher valuations I've seen of LTB. If the ad bidding stays in this range next week, I will try buying a couple of print ads, and reselling one or more of them to friends with Bitcoin companies, who aren't in the ecosystem (with LTB's approval). It's a roll I thought about pre-coin, and was excited to see Brian Cohen jumped right into that roll with the podcast ads.
@Adam I'm wondering if the model is extremely generous to early users by design, or if there just are less users early users than projected? (and I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, or projections are in your documentation)
Please slip right into that role of buying ad space on LTBN and selling it off to third parties. That's exactly how the system is designed to work and any community member who wants is encouraged to act as a go-between to the outside world. It basically saves the hassle of having "sales reps". Everyone can be an LTBN sales rep whenever they like. We will be putting up proper advertising guidelines so everyone knows what's acceptable on the network, but basically it's no sex, drugs or weapons.
So, the idea is that if you own LTBC, you get a more direct access to everything and can buy at preferential rate and make money on your work/investment.
As regards being generous to early users, all distributions of LTBCoin are intended to be inversely proportional to the number of users. When there are fewer users on a project, they are individually contributing more to the project as regards building it and keeping it going. It's also riskier to support a new system like LTBCoin, so the earlier adopters deserve more for taking that risk. As membership grows and the value of the whole system becomes more obvious, then the amounts given out will tend to be less.

Re: The issue with tipping
Everyone and @Knircky @coinfire @william @mjroncone:
On the subject of holding funds (if we go that route) and reducing risk, one idea is that tipping funds over a certain amount would automatically get flushed out to the tipbot user's Counterparty address. The threshold can be user-customizable, probably with an upper limit
What sort of amount makes sense for the average user to hold in their tipping account? The equivalent of $15? $25? $50?

Re: The issue with tipping
@william I don't think that the idea of running a tab is a good one. Tips should be final and immediate, just like when you put change in a busker's guitar case. You can't tip if you don't have the quarters (LTBcoin).
My thoughts precisely. I'm copy/pasting a summary of my earlier comments from the google doc, @deweller, to push the discussion to the community:
"The more I think about the "invoice" model, the more it seems to break the idea of a spontaneous tip.
Tipping is up there with the impulsive actions marketers want to make happen before the impulse dies. Something gave you a good feeling and at that moment you tip happily. Any amount of time later and your memory of that good feeling is just not there the same way and you're starting to feel like meh... Maybe there's something else you want to spend your tips on now -- something else has caught your attention and it seems 100 times better than that other thing you wanted to tip before because it's what is real and vivid for you right now.
If people had any chance to reconsider, they will probably end up tipping less or maybe not tipping at all.
Escrowing away pledged tips and clearing later could help save on transactions and fees, but then we're keeping funds (which may end up being necessary)."

Re: What should be added to the forums?
A pretty urgent one is that it asks you to input your password when you change your BTC and LTBC addresses.
I also strongly agree with @adam's suggestion for a tighter design. There are too few topics/posts per page at the moment. Maybe this could be user-configurable, so you can choose if you want 20, 50, or whatever posts per page.

Re: Earn LTBC by Publishing Your Writings for LTB! All accounts now may compose and submit articles for the front page - Walkthrough inside!
@adam Yes, I'm asking about multiple authors on one blog, which is probably more common than multiple authors on one piece.
Say people are emailing in work to an editor who then edits it, pastes it into the platform, formats etc. Is there a way to have separate author photos at the moment, or do we just hang tight for a bit?
Also, you mention users submitting articles to an editor (say me) from their account, but I think that´s a future feature, right? Or how do you specify which editor you are submitting to?

Just a question or two about the author's photo. Is that currently taken from the profile pic? How do we include pics of individual authors who contribute to a blog? Or is this still a WIP?

Super! Great work, @cryptonaut. And thanks, @adam.
The one thing that's missing but that I suppose is in the works is a filter to see just your own posts.
I'm looking forward to getting started with Crypto for Change. Let's get those blogs rolling!
Any writers who want to join the ACT and contribute at least 1 post a week to Crypto for Change, please check out that link and get in touch at [email protected].

Looking forward to getting access.
And how are we going to have this work for ACTs? Would the Crypto for Change blog need to have its own account on LTB to gain access separately from any posts I might write in my own capacity or for some other ACT?
