  • Re: Crowdfunding a business - methods used so far?

    @davidmosk Have you seen this recent article on LTB?

    Crypto for Change - Fund Your Game, Community or Project with Digital Tokens.

    Hope it's of use!

    Welcome aboard for the ride!

    There is indeed a introduction thread, which you're welcome to copy your post to. It should be a "sticky" post but it's not staying on top. Paging @Cryptonaut on that.

    Here it is: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/introduce-yourself

    @Spengler No worries about tips lol. :)

    Here's the instructions & requirements for submitting writing. You can also access the writing dashboard by clicking on your username up top and then the "posts" link in the sidebar.

    Once you mark a post as "Ready for Publishing" it gets picked up by the editors and published, so you have to make sure you don't want to make any changes before you do that. The LTB edit is just a copy-edit polishing, though, and you might want to team up with an editor on the content market if you need personalized and more-involved help.

  • Re: Editors' Communication Thread

    @rywalk Hi Andrew,

    Quick request - I realized that the font for my article "Value by Design" is rather small and difficult to read. I didn't realize it would be published exactly as it upon submission. Would it be possible to simply update the font/format to a larger more legible font? Whatever size and style is standard?

    Thanks! Ryan

    I didn't even realize because I have a sizeable screen and usually zoom in a little on the browser for comfort. @Cryptonaut, could you fix the font size please? http://letstalkbitcoin.com/dashboard/blog-post/edit/462 I'm wary of making a mess of all that source code.

    @rywalk It's best if you don't paste from Word because of the issues it causes. In any case, we'll soon be switching to Markdown, which means pasting from Word or similar will paste just plain text, so you might want to get used to formatting your posts directly in the browser. Remember to save regularly!

    Also, please tag me @rotalumis when you reply to me because I'm having some issues with thread subscription notifications and only just spotted this. I'll try unsubbing and resubbing and will see if that help.s

    @william

    Thanks!

    I've made a note of this and also of other trello usernames people have been posting here. We're bringing on new editors gradually though until we iron out the kinks in the system.

  • Re: Remember me function not working...

    Happens to me too from time to time. I thought it might be something wrong with my browser, but apparently not.

    @Cryptonaut Another one for the bug list?

  • Re: Doctor, doctor....

    @Spengler

    I'll upload it for you.

  • Re: Token view Point.

    Basically something like that. You will be asked to verify your address by signing a message with your private key.

    I'd say it's quite buried in there and not that clear.

    "Think of your audience" is the best advice I can give you in the little time I have. People who are interested in Bitcoin faucets probably don't know that much about Bitcoin, so you need to explain things in simpler terms. They might want free bitcoin, so make it clear early in your article that this is about how to get free bitcoin. Maybe start that section with, "Bitcoin faucets are websites where you can enter your bitcoin address and get a tiny amount of free bitcoin to play around with. They're a great idea if you've just heard of Bitcoin and don't know where to start." Get people interested right away. And how about linking to a couple of faucet sites while you're at it? ;)

    That's not the only issue and, unfortunately, I don't have time for a full critique on structure and flow, which is why I recommend you team up with someone who does. Offer them a share, and consider that as an investment in your writing future. Good luck!

    EDIT: Also, I don't really see you making a strong connection with the Wild West you mention in the title.

    @segaboy81

    This one is not quite up to scratch and needs some serious work still. You managed to write a section on "What is a Bitcoin faucet?" without even clearly saying it gives out small amounts of free Bitcoin. :)

    I suggest you look at this post and post in the Content Market to see if you can find some personalized editing help in return for a share of the spoils.
