I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.

I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).

I've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.

I made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).

I've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in

And in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!

I'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

@cryptonaut Well that's weird. I thought you fixed the issue, as I submitted a non-counterparty address and got a result. Then I put in another address (the same one that choked it last time) and I got an error.

  • Re: opinions on the trezor hardware wallet?

@cryptonaut @prismicide interesting. If you end up having the extra time (or someone else), im sure the community in general would appreciate a more in depth report and explanation on TREZOR security (would make a good article for the front page)

White hat hacker Johoe has a new post about Trezor insecurities: http://johoe.mooo.com/trezor-power-analysis

And if you haven't yet, check out my fairly exclusive podcast interview with Johoe, which took place after he grabbed and returned insecure Bitcoin on Blockchain.info wallets (saving it from the hands of less-kind hackers): https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/the-bitcoin-game-7-bitcoin-hero-jochen-aka-johoe

  • Re: BOOKKEEPER.XCP - Accounting App Access Token

@cryptonaut Okay, I had assumed that would work too, but I got the error when I tested it, and thought it was a missing feature (rather than a bug).

  • Re: BOOKKEEPER.XCP - Accounting App Access Token

Oh, a feature request that I assume/hope would be easy: Allow someone to enter a plain (non-counterparty) address to simply get a spreadsheet of BTC transactions. I figure it could open up interest to more people, and I haven't seen a tool like that around.

Or see if LibraTax wants to create an import filter that will calc gains/losses for every asset with one output from this new tool (otherwise, seems you'd have to output and upload every asset separately, even if formatted properly).

Hmmm, upon further thought, there's still the USD value that has to be manually entered for each Counterparty Asset transaction. I guess that would have to be done manually first (unless there's some great script that looks up the assets with values using some exchange API), before uploading to LibraTax.

LibraTax should be able to import the BTC part of these transaction simply by giving them the Counterparty/Bitcoin address.

  • Re: BOOKKEEPER.XCP - Accounting App Access Token

For anyone who has tried to do any accounting of their Counterparty transactions, this is an amazing tool! Note that the date field will soon be updated so it's recognized as a date in spreadsheet software, so if that's important to you, wait a day or so.

    THANKS CRYPTONAUT!

Thanks for the tip about Elizabeth Swan's talk, I'll check that out sooner than later. I'll probably post the regulation talk and panel on my podcast -- seemed kinda of scary.

Yeah, I didn't hear anything positive about the HOPE Gold Coin. I interviewed one of their team, and it was definitely confusing. I feel like the details I was told about the "multiplier effect" are slightly different than what you're saying. Their literature talks about speculating on their coin, though that seems to counter everything I was told, and the stable $10 concept. And their "largest live music and charity event" in history seems like a lot of hype w/o much details. We'll see.
