I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.

I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).

I've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.

I made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).
    Lkeychain.com

I've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in
    LetsTalkBitcoin.com/blog

And in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!

I'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

@rotalumis Our you could forgo a single slice of bread and save 11 gallons

    I did not know that…

  • Re: LTBc Toolbox

    @loon3

Wow, I'd somehow not seen the LTBn Value graphs, very very cool (and helpful)!

I didn't mean to imply you are lacking in incentive (clearly, that is not the case)! And I certainly know what it's like to not have time... I have lists of project ideas that just get longer each week...

    Thanks!

EDIT: Oh, I see now that the straight price graph is not on that page. I do think graphs of simply the LTBc price in USD and BTC would be very useful to people who want to see more than the week of data Melotic offers (and I really can't figure out why they wouldn't offer longer-term charts).

  • Re: Adam, Nick and Devon, you've been nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge!

    @deweller @bcohen, @rob, and @loon3 - You're IT!

What the? I assumed no one would challenge me, and worry about wasting water during the absolutely devastating drought we're suffering here in Southern California. But I supposed I can do it over some grass, and it's extra poignant with the passing of Hal Finney. Hmmmm....

  • Re: Offering 210k LTBc for Bitcoin

If someone buys, then you have a decent price. If no one buys, then I'd say your price is too high. Can we agree on that?

In my opinion, there are plenty of people with a lot of LTBc, who don't really have any immediate use for it. Just because Melotic isn't doing a lot of LTBc trading doesn't mean there are not plenty of LTB content producers who would give an interested buyer a better deal than you're offering. Note that the amount of LTBc you're offering is just a bit more than a writer can get with one article.

Again, if you sell, then you'll prove me wrong. My bet is you won't find a buyer at this price.

  • Re: LTBc Toolbox

Hey @loon3, does the Melotic API give access to historical prices? I only see one week of pricing on their site, and I'm trying to find a way to graph longer term prices.

Part two of the question is, if there are historic prices available, how hard would it be to create an interface that allows people to check spot historic prices, in BTC and USD?

I'm assuming creating historical graphs would be a lot more difficult, but that would be very cool!

If there's anything you're ever on the fence about doing, maybe LTB and/or private parties could help incentivize your projects? And I can't help but wonder if you've thought about ad banners on your current tools (though, perhaps it's all just a great calling card for your work). You could do like LTB is doing, and auction your own ad tokens. Just a thought.

EDIT: PS: I wonder if you should add LTBCOIN as a keyword. I find your site easy if I search for LTBc tools, but not if I search LTBCOIN tools.

  • Re: Flashback, Do You Remember ?? How Do You Know Bitcoin, at First??

I first heard of Bitcoin in February 2011, via the Security Now podcast: https://www.grc.com/sn/sn-287.htm

Unfortunately, I didn't get into Bitcoin until over two years after that.

  • Re: LTB shows not showing up on Stitcher, (or shows up late)

It's sad, because of all the podcasts I listen to, I only have these issues with LTB. Typically crypto-people are the most technical people I know, so it so ironic to me that this issue seems to be a constant stumbling block for LTB. All I can guess is you smart people have tried to be too smart with the RSS feed, and just need to do whatever all the rest of the podcast dummies are doing.

  • New Bitcoin Flickr Set

I just uploaded a brand new set of 5 photos. They are of a string of Bitcoin keychains, and could conjure up thoughts of a Bitcoin Blockchain.

I wanted to give LTB creators a chance to look at these images and let me know if anyone wants first use (as I know Adam has expressed preferring). As currently listed, they are not Creative Commons licensing, but I will end up switching them to Creative Commons (w/ Attribution required) in a couple of days. If anyone wants to use one (now or soon), please contact me. I can also prepare the final square 400x400 graphic file, as is needed to submit with content.

    Thanks!

  • Re: Problem with LTB Auctioneer rebate?

@deweller I fixed the issue with Counterparty transactions being ignored when a block is orphaned.

I'm trying to wrap my head around orphaned blocks, and how they affect Counterparty transactions in general. Maybe after I understood that, I'd be curious what hurdles make it difficult for the auctioneer to deal with orphaned blocks… though maybe that would get over my head.

  • Re: How to keep your CounterWallet Password Safe?

@jamesmm How do you keep your CounterWallet password safe? I wish I would have realized in the beginning and I would have created my own 12 words I could remember. I could write it down on paper of course, but to be honest I wouldn't trust myself to keep up with it. So, looking for ideas and tips.

You don't have the the option to create the 12 words, the only option is to take what they give you. However, you could keep pressing Create New Wallet until you find 12 words you find more memorable.

I think these are scary security times, as it seems that Malware on a computer could probably ruin anyone's day, even with a password manager (or maybe more so -- if Malware grabs your master password and encrypted password data, seems it would be a great way for a hacker to own the password to every account you have). I have no great answer. Use 2FA when you can. Hopefully that becomes an option with Counterwallet soon!
