Bio:
I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.
I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).
Print4Bitcoin.comI've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.
Bkeychain.comI made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).
Lkeychain.comI've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in
LetsTalkBitcoin.com/blog
Spelunk.inAnd in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!
TheBitcoinGame.comI'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

Re: Bitcoin Keychain - "LTB Auctioneer" Auction
I just created a new auction, that should show up when you click "Auctions" within 30 minutes. This is a bulk auction, that includes five Counterparty tokens, each redeemable for a Bitcoin Keychain as seen on Bkeychain.com. Two include the shipping cost for international redemption, and three include the shipping cost for redemption in the USA. Fun fun! More details in the auction.
Yes, you've probably seen these before, as photos of these keychains are used often to represent Bitcoin on major mainstream and crypto websites.
I tried to set the starting bid at a price I won't lose money on, but it's a good value for anyone interested in these keychains. These go for $11.99 on Amazon (LINK) and are rated 5-stars.

Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL
@bcohen Its possible that an additional valid bid could be found after 1:30 but using this as an internal cutoff helps remove uncertainty from the auction.
Sorry you missed the bidding, a countdown timer will definitely remove the uncertainty regarding the time zone factor (I too felt unsure for some reason).
While randomness of block confirm times definitely adds a twist to bidding, no bidders are advantaged by it, as all share in the risk of later bids not counting. Maybe it makes bidders lay their cards on the table sooner? Maybe it encourages speculative Hail Mary bids that may or may not make it into a block before the auction end time? It's definitely different than the straight-forward eBay-style bidding you were championing for, but I see this particular quirk as more of a fun twist to standard bidding, than an issues that needs solving. For me, the quirks kind of add to the richness of this experiment we're all participating in.

Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL
Sorry to pile on, @Deweller...
A really nice thing to add, a TIME LEFT countdown timer for each auction (so a bidder can confirm the time zone calculation is correct), or just know at a glance (w/o doing any time zone math) how long until the auction ends.
Perhaps a line about bidding time being affected by the randomness of block time should be included, or a "SEE FAQ" mention, or something. I wouldn't want to add a new confusion for bidders thinking the countdown means they have until the last second.

Re: LTBc, LTBC, LTBCOIN, etc...
As LTBCOIN is the actual Counterparty asset name, I think it makes sense to call it that (though shorthand LTBc is nice, and that's what I often write). I worry that someone might create the asset LTBC (looks like it's still available), and fool people who don't know better (hope I'm not giving bad ideas to anyone). Just something to think about.
Now if it's LTBcoin or LTBCOIN or LTBCoin, that's getting very subtle. Note that every Counterparty and Dogeparty asset needs to be registered in all-caps.

The Tax Headache Cometh
I'm really curious how people who are doing a lot of LTBc trading, or running businesses that deal with LTBc, are feeling about when tax time comes, and one has to report all these transactions. Even the way Counterparty assets use BTC to send transactions adds a whole layer of work, even for those who insist LTBc are just valueless tokens. I think I will be crying when it comes time to make sense of all my 2014 transactions. I calculated and reported my 2013 Bitcoin realized gains (FIFO basis -- and most gains were due to trying to use BTC as a currency -- I'm not a trader), and thought that was a pain; I can't imagine how hard 2014 will be for me.
Am I the only one dreading this?

Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL
@deweller It is very nice to see the bidding levels on the main page, thanks for that update! Is there a way to see old auctions that are no longer displayed on the main auction page?

Re: LTBc for Jokes.
1) Do you have much in the way of Bitcoin/cryptocurrency humor? I have a prime domain that could be used for that (idea being that the site would be a regular source of crypto-humor, that would theoretically monetize through advertising).
2) Will you give examples of your jokes, to help sell your ability to bring humor our way? I'm just saying, most artists or writers (etc.) who want to be hired will show some examples of their work.

Re: 400+ Million Burned already. Dogeparty!
@wildjo Broke down and got a DP wallet and burned a few for XDP. Brainstorming for a good name for a token. Any suggestions?
Since I don't know you or what you might be working on, I can't really make a suggestion for you. But the name grab is on, the Dogeparty asset names are dwarfing the number of assets created on Counterparty. I assume it's because it's so cheap to claim an asset, though perhaps Dogepartiers are a group more into playing around with coins.
Did reading my Dogeparty help push you to give it a try?
