Re: longer Magic Word
@adam So perhaps we should make them 40 points for the first week and 10 points for the next three then 1 point after that. It won't be effective to farm but it'll still let us track listening over a longer time period than the 4 days we current get a distribution on.
That actually seems like a good system and fair to the regular listeners. I like it

Re: longer Magic Word
I actually like the short time frame. This makes it so you must keep up to date with the current episode and gives an incentive for listening to it right away, rather than just queuing it up. Because I can give you an example: Pretty much all of November and December I was so busy that I could not listen to the podcast. That also made me less active on the forums. I have been slowly catching up, but, I am not listening to those episodes first. Instead I am listening to the current episodes as they release and the ones i missed about once a week. That way I still get the magic words for these new episodes because i cannot for the old episodes, and while i listen to the episodes.
And I like the way that Mad Money machine did it where there is ultimately 3 words throughout the episode so you cannot just skim through the episode to find the one single magic word.

New way to think of why the government is corrupt
@weex showed my this video a long time ago, and I realized that it was in the FLDC private forums hidden from view. I wish to share this video as it is a topic that you would have never heard of or even thought of that could change government, but makes perfect sense. Its an hour long but you will not regret watching it. Get your popcorn and enjoy :)

Re: Dream conference lineup?
@faceface I've given a talk to an online conference, and it was quite disconcerting. I didn't realise quite how much I rely on audience 'feedback' to modulate what I'm saying, how and how fast I'm saying it. 20 minutes into a 30 minute talk (plus the usual 5 minute coordination debacle at the beginning) I had the distinct feeling that nobody was listening... Instead of listening to the other talks I started checking email and eventually wandered off for lunch...
Whatever it looks like, it should somehow keep people (speakers and listeners) connected and engaged throughout.
Could the speaker hand out 4 or 5 ’interrupt me' tokens, bought using points earned for up voted tweets or something? Conference pack includes two INTERRUPT and one COLLAR ;-)
The idea is to have multiple levels of interaction, since we're based on google hangouts on air there are a total of ten seats, so minus one or two for the producers those are live-audience seats that will be distributed a variety of ways (given to the speaker to invite a friendly face and reservable with one of the VIP conference tokens in advance, but if there are availabilities the next tier lower of membership all can see the URL and join if there is an open seat.
Beyond that, live text-chat in the audience + private rooms and messaging, and we'll certainly have some feedback forms. We also might do things like give all ticketholders a handful of "Pick of the conference" tokens each that they can send to their favorite speakers and at the end of the event we'll award those speakers.
That would be fantastic to have online conferences. I cannot make conferences as they are to costly. Yes I miss out on meeting with all the various people, but that's what I go to Meetups for (though i know its not as big) to still get interaction with people. So i catch the conferences online, but it would be fantastic to be able to interact with people in an online setting. This i would assume would save a ton of costs in the tickets (tokens) you purchase to join the hang outs.
Obviously you stated you are developing this, but do you have plans in place for holding the first conference, or are you just developing the platform for someone else to setup a conference?

Re: New Topic in Stellar.org!
@cryptonaut My question is, what's with all the Stellar spam? some sort of scam? There has been at least like 5 accounts made over the past few weeks which have claimed to be the stellar foundation and have spammed their posts all over the forums
Oh also, Stellar has been spamming on the Poloniex trollbox to, so I dont know what the deal is, but there is Stellar spam all over the place. For that I refuse to buy :)
