Re: What's your favorite altcoin?
@sethster82 So do you think that Bitcoin can effectively assimilate and execute all of the viable features that the altcoin market is developing? It seems to me that some newer algorithms have benefits that SHA-256d can't compete with like energy efficiency. I'm still learning up on all this stuff so I'm no expert. Could Bitcoin switch algorithms?
I'm not dogging on Bitcoin as I currenlty hold some myself (wish I had bought when I first looked into it but I just couldn't wrap my head around it then).
It certainly would make sense to take some of the best altcoin features and roll them in to Bitcoin as time goes on.
We won't see a change in the algorithm of course because so many of the big players are so invested in the current one though.
I have been kind of enjoying DOGE but I don't really get in to the altcoins either.
I feel Draper put it best when he said we need to see one coin see mass adoption before we can consider the other ones and it seems Bitcoin is best suited for that with the current mindshare it has.

Re: So who do you think won the auction?
@coinfire It turned out that Tim Draper bought all of the bitcoins!

Thanks for the supplying the link! I've never heard of Vaurum before, but apparently the intention of the purchase is to have reserves for a new high-volume trading site... interesting.
It absolutely gives them a ton of attention for the startup as well!

Re: So who do you think won the auction?
@mich But yeah, now the question is "for how much?" I wonder if Tim Draper will disclose it anytime soon.
Tim has actually stated they will NOT be revealing the price paid.

Re: So who do you think won the auction?
@mich TONS of theories on reddit. One of the reasons I love this community is how fast news comes and the suspense that can build around it.
Any guesses?
I am speculating that it is Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss at the moment. I've seen a lot of theories regarding Circle but I just don't feel that it was them.

Re: 728x90 Leaderboard Advertisement
@adam I actually don't have anything yet, but it looks like I need to have a few banners made.
Sadly I am no graphic wizard or I would create something at least for temporary use.
