@robmitchell Site seems great. Good content, looks good. I'd be interested in buying an ad on there too, for LTBcoin.
I have heard a lot of people tell me they get their content from the ZeroBlock app. I have no idea what you have to do to be included in their feed, but I highly recommend trying. I'll tweet them right now.
Thanks for the kind words. Will try to keep it up!

@coinfire
@robmitchell
@coinfire None taken, we are only getting about 6,000 unique viewers today only averaging about 5 - 6 page views a day for each. It is pretty small.
Wow, that's actually a lot more than I expected, good work! How long has the site been up? How are most people finding your site? I tend to find articles from browsing ZeroBlock and Twitter, and I haven't seen Coinfire in those circles. I'm only aware of Coinfire from this forum.
We've been online just over a month, we seem to drive a lot of traffic from reddit.
What really got us launched was we reported the 1-800-Flowers story a full two weeks before they announced it after someone very high up (C Level) emailed us about it with a PGP signed email and since then it has sort of grown with a lot of people just sharing it with friends.
We've been asked about ZeroBlock recently but haven't had a chance to look at that angle as of yet.
I tend to think it isn't a lot because many other sites are doing way more traffic than us right now. With time I hope that can be changed :)
Definitely let me know what you think of the site. Myself and a few other contributors are nearly gathering news 24/7 (legitimately always working) because we want to build something different.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
We have been looking to integrate a "news" division

The Homegrown Mining Botnet
So on my constant travels across the Internet this feature on Medium showed up during my Bitcoin searches.
This was one of the coolest pieces I've read on Medium and thought it might be cool to share here. I've sent the guy who wrote it a DM about coming to LTB and perhaps writing future pieces.
He seems to be a relatively new comer to Bitcoin related stuff from what I've gathered and has only published on Medium at the moment.
I found the piece to be extremely interesting and wanted to share it with you guys and see what everyone else was thinking.

P.S.
If you wish to get something online and then iterate I am willing to change it out as you iterate over the month :)

@robmitchell @adam Your call. I think it's a good idea for coming up with ideas for content, but are you up for sifting through the ideas and deciding which you like? I don't mind just throwing ideas out to you, but the hive mind may come up with something better than just our two minds.
On the other hand, I wonder if a decent ad put together quickly, vs. an amazing ad we spend a lot of effort on, will really make any difference in results (no slight to Coinfire, but I'm assuming this new site isn't getting tons of views yet). We could just hurry and get something decent up there, and iterate/update over the coming days/weeks.
Note that my workload is pretty heavy right now (hard to tell by my LTB.com activity -- I probably should be here less right now). So I'm a fan of whatever will help me complete this for you, as quickly and easily as possible.

Re: BTC Consumption
@jayek I'd have to agree with that. My wife made a point of asking if I've noticed it lately. I listen to podcasts on let's talk bitcoin, research alt coins, spend time on Reddit & bitcointalk. I guess it's a bit more than a hobby. I'll even accept photographic work for bitcoin these days.
That is pretty cool! Are you working on doing photographic work for LTBcoin yet? ;)

Re: What should be added to the forums?
@william Here is something that could be added to the main site, rather than the forums. For people who publish an article, you could have a system where the hash of that article, including the author's name, is published along with the article, and then that hash is recorded in the blockchain at the time of publication as well, so that the author could use that hash to prove original authorship. This could then be used in copyright cases, for instance. The author would just have to produce a text (including his name, of course) that would match the hash recorded in the blockchain, to show that he wrote it at a particular time. [although, it might not work perfectly bc he could take previously published material, add his name and claim to have published it?]
Maybe this is what the whole "proof of publication" means in the first place. I guess that I'm saying (or asking) is whether PoP could be extended in a way that has broader applicability, outside the LTB network ecosystem. And, if this works, LTB could offer a type of notary service, paid for in LTBcoin, where anyone could easily upload a doc or a text file, and then the hash of that file is recorded in the block chain. Am I making any sense?
Built in automated proof of existence, I like it! We could integrate with these guys: http://www.proofofexistence.com/ . So basically a writer could optionally provide a small fee along with their article when they submit it, and then when it gets published a proof of existence is created and put onto the blockchain, with the resulting verification also published.
@adam thoughts?
Oh snap. I really, really, really like this idea. Would love to see this implemented.

Re: What exchanges would you like to see LTBcoin listed on?
@mich Probably cryptsy. it will be interesting to see how upper level coins fare on centralized exchanges. What other 3rd level coins are on exchanges right now if any? If LTBCoin gets picked up on a few it will definitely be paving a way.
It would most certainly be paving a way and be absolutely amazing to see a new concept such as this one thrown up on an exchange.

Re: What should be added to the forums?
@coinfire I'd love to see the ability to see all of the posts that a user has commented on, so +1 to the suggestion of @Matt
It would be great to be able to quickly move around the site!
Thanks, here's a screenshot of what the old site looked like. It was built in 2012. The "community picture wall" on the right updates as users interact with the site in real time, so as long as there is activity on the site the wall is moving. Icons display the activity that was made and the users avatar moves to the top of the list. The posts are not limited to characters just 3 lines and are expanded by clicking on the post.
The "activity feed" was a really cool feature now that I've seen how that worked.
