Re: Why Bangladesh will jail Bitcoin traders
We are working on a fact-finding mission regarding this story as some top attorneys have stated they don't feel that "Threat" was posted by a credible source on the law at the moment.
Hope to have more information soon. A central bank in most countries doesn't have the right to pass laws but merely suggest them.

Re: Developing Story: USMS and FTC Raid on Butterfly Labs
We've got someone actually visiting the FTC on Monday to see about obtaining any relevant documents if they exist regarding this on-going story.

Chain Radio Coming Back from DDOS

Chain Radio which has suffered from a major DDOS attack that has brought the online streaming service dedicated to cryptocurrency offline seems to be making a come back tomorrow morning we’ve learned from a blog post on the Chain Radio site.

Looks like @ChainRadio is going to be back soon. Excited to hear this. Been sad without them streaming music while I'm working recently.

Re: Liberté Mining Brings Hydropowered Cloud Mining Assets Online
@nmswawan my review website its not ssl in https , alexa intraffic low four milion
They are brand new but from some people that are very experienced in the space.
Our full interview talks about the guys behind it and we've seen videos of them with the equipment in the space.
The site lacking SSL is always a thing but considering everything is done via distributed technologies and you aren't logging in on the site anywhere it might not be that big of a deal.
I also never put any thing in to Alexa rankings because they are complete garbage and gamed. They are broken and don't actually account for any REAL traffic because most people are not going to download an application to keep track of where they surf anymore.

Re: Site Ownership via Token
@lovebitcoins Some ideas just flowing at the moment...
- Monthly payouts of some sort in BTC?
- Holders of token don't see advertisements on site?
- A voting system for site decision making?
- Making the tokens divisible so I can sell and trade them.
I think this is something you should seriously look at.
- I think a monthly dividend would be really awesome.
- Interesting idea on advertisements. I am not opposed to that.
- Love the idea of polling for choices via token ownership.
- It would absolutely be possible to trade these and have them be divisible.

Re: CoinTerra today announced their next generation Bitcoin Miner
@coinfire
@apple Does anyone buy these anymore or is it just large mining operations? I figure they would put more emphasis on delivering to customer with an order exceeding $1 million than an individual who only purchased 1 miner.
Everyone I know who has purchased has purchased more than 10 units at a time if that says anything.
Kinda. I guess its a matter of adding to an existing operation or starting out as well as how much risk you want to put into trusting when they will ship. It also means you have some financially well off friends!
Yeah, they've been really in to the mining side of things recently although I still struggle to see ROI on this sort of stuff to be honest with you. It kind of feels like a gamble.

Re: Feature request OP delete reponses
Self-moderated posts haven't ended well on other systems as it typically does result in the censorship of information that the OP wants to hide.
Interesting thought of course but I'm not sure this is one I could get behind without seeing more justification for it. I'm always open to having my mind changed though.

Site Ownership via Token
For the past several nights I have been brainstorming a bit and just throwing out ideas on some of the cool things that can be done with these new technologies such as Counterparty.
What if democratize Coin Fire a bit? What if you personally be involved in how we are doing things on the site? What if you could potentially earn from our success as well? Would you like to have a hand in the major decision making process?
I've been seeing a lot of commentary from others that talks about how they would do things differently. What if you had a chance to actually have an impact on how things are done? What if the token you control actually affords you rights and votes in how things go?
These are some of the ideas that I have been toying with when it comes to tokens and Coin Fire.
It would allow the site to capitalize a bit, offer an incentive to everyone and just try something new.
Those interested could purchase some of the tokens and get some skin in the game and potentially have a major impact on the direction that the company is taking.
What if a site like Coin Fire implemented something like this? What are your thoughts?

Re: NOW LIVE - Coin Fire 728x90 Leaderboard Ad Tokens x2
@tintin Hi Mike, Can you give me some stats on the sites popularity? How many pageviews do you get daily, and how many of them are unique? How many people click on the link on average? etc...
Yeah I am going to break down the last three days of stats here real fast.
We've had 52,197 unique visits in the last three days.
The average viewer clicks on at three links total within the site.
Our current CTR is on the lower end at the moment which I believe can be attributed to banner blindness along with the fact we've got some stale banners that have been running for a while with little change (0.59%) but are still near industry averages for CTR.
Our most popular referrals to the site are in the following order:
/r/bitcoin, social sharing via Twitter and Facebook, RSS readers, and organic site visits.
In the past three month's we've grown from being relatively unknown to being recognized as a Top 5 News site according to Alexa (though I don't put much stock in them honestly since they still require a browser download for people's visits to count), we've received nods from GigaOm, TechCrunch and others.
