Re: Overstock to Donate 4% of Bitcoin Revenue to Foundations Advocating Cryptocurrency Adoption
@eshriek Not surprised that Bitcoin Foundation is not part of the equation.
I heard, probably through ltb podcasts, that Overstock will do an IPO on the blockchain or using bitcoin 2.0 like ethereum. It never seems to end with Overdtock.
Anyone know if the IPO on the blockchain is going to happen?
A blockchain IPO would be pretty amazing.
They certainly have proven that they are long on Bitcoin for sure which is a MAJOR play.

CoinTerra today announced their next generation Bitcoin Miner

CoinTerra today announced their next generation Bitcoin Miner – the AIRE Miner™. At an expected performance per watt of 5x the current generation miners, the 16nm ASIC based AIRE Miner is now available for limited time pre-order with expected delivery in Q1 2015.
An even smaller chip size from CoinTerra it seems is on the horizon and they are doing pre-orders.
What are your thoughts regarding the company, the chip size, and the fact they are pre-orders and not shipping immediately?
Are you a miner? Will you be looking at these new units?

They said they will be donating to other places pushing cryptocurrency as well.
Could that mean the Bitcoin Foundation? Who else comes to mind?

@ademczuk @coinfire I have to be firm on the deadline, which ends 4 days from now.
I sent him a text message. It is late at the moment so we shall see.
I don't want the bounty though if it pans out.

Overstock to Donate 4% of Bitcoin Revenue to Foundations Advocating Cryptocurrency Adoption

Today Overstock formally announces its commitment to donating 4 percent of all its global Bitcoin revenues to foundations working to defend and further the adoption of cryptocurrencies. Overstock’s international revenue arrives through O.co, its international brand and site.
Overstock has initially selected the Chamber of Digital Commerce, known as a representative of the digital commerce industry in Washington, DC.

Overstock is getting really more and more serious about cryptocurrency and bitcoins.
Does anyone else find it interesting they didn't select the Bitcoin Foundation but rather the Chamber of Digital Commerce?
What are your thoughts?
