Re: Dogeparty and POC
I think Dogeparty will be interesting. It is particularly interesting to me in terms of what Adam described in LTB episode #129 -- For large-scale implementations using counterparty can get quite expensive like it is for LTBc. Dogeparty should end up being much cheaper and therefore a viable alternative if the network is strong enough.
Secondly, I do really like PoC. I really, really like PoC. If it were not for the degrading state of the Doge network, I would suggest that PoC be the way to go. However, given that Dogecoin has been sort of dying out, I think that PoB simply brings more to the table in terms of what Doge needs right now.

Re: Feature request - multiple authors
Not to hijack the thread, but having an option for the editor might be a decent idea as well. Especially if we are going to make the push for independent authors and editors to come together before submission.

Up for auction are two (2) blocks of forty-five (45) second intervals in this coming week's second episode of Let's Talk Bitcoin! Episode #132 will be released on Saturday the 2nd, and whether or not your business/project will be a part of it is up to you.
Bidding will start at 10k LTBc. Please keep minimum bid increments to 250 LTBc (10,000 -> 10,250 or greater)
This auction will end at 6:00 PM PST on Friday, August the 1st. Any bids submitted after that time but before closure of the thread will not be considered. A bid on the close as logged by the post's official time stamp (in this case, 6:00 PM) is a valid bid, however one minute after (6:01) is not. The top two overall bids in the thread will be awarded slots 1 and 2, respectively.
What exactly am I bidding on?
The two slots fill scheduled breaks in the episode. Adam will do his own research on your business/project and will spend approximately 45 seconds talking about what you do. Adam reserves the right to veto any winning bids if he feels that doing a live read for your project would not be mutually beneficial. No scripts will be accepted. If you want him to focus on a particular area of your project, mention it with your bid.
Please state your bid in LTBc along with what project you are bidding on behalf of. (a link would be nice)
Please note that you will receive no editorial control for your winning bid. The live read will be approximately 45 seconds but no guarantees are made for it to be exactly that length of time.
What if I'm the winning bid?
After you receive confirmation that you have won, please remit payment in LTBc to the following address: 16mtsJE29zY5Rw2c4XunVFeg7DmbGedS9M
Payment will be expected by 11:59 PM PST of the day that the auction closes. If you cannot meet this deadline, please state so ahead of time. If we have not heard from you or received payment by then, we will assume that you are defaulting and your slot will be given to the next bidder in line.
What kinds of people sponsor the show?
Lots of people! Here are a few of our recent sponsors:
- Bitofthis LTB Ad Broker - http://www.bitofthis.com/ltb-advertising-broker.html
- Coin Fire - http://coinfire.cf/
- Chain Radio - http://chainradio.com/

- Bitmain No-preorder ASICs - https://bitmaintech.com/
- You! (hopefully, anyway...)
But I'm new to LTB, I don't have any LTBcoin!
Well, you can purchase it from the private market currently either at Melotic (https://www.melotic.com/markets/ltbcoin-btc) or through a Counterparty Counterwallet (https://www.counterparty.co/ and https://counterwallet.co/)
There are also LTB ad brokers such as Bitofthis (@bcohen or http://www.bitofthis.com/ltb-advertising-broker.html ) which, as you can see, is one of our previous sponsors! They will use their own LTBc reserves to bid on your behalf and the two of you can settle up in whatever currency you agree upon later.
Feel free to ask for clarification on any of the above points, or any other questions you may have in this thread. I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible.

Re: [CLOSED] Auction for 1 Hour of Adam B. Levine's Time
@mike I think this was actually addressed before, though I'm not in a position to search for it. The first bidder would be recognized as the one with first right to the slot. This is how typical markets work. If you want to be filled first, you should bid higher. It really shouldnt be up to question, though I could understand why it would cause confusion.
I'm new to running an auction, and definitely haven't done a ton of research… I saw duplicate bids in several threads (none yours), so I wasn't sure if it had been discussed. I handled the duplicate bid as my gut said, which is the way you stated. And now I believe anyone making a duplicate bid is doing so out of lack of understanding the process (it always makes sense to simply outfit by 1 LTBc and establish a clear position).
Right. This is one reason why I have been contemplating adding a minimum bid increment of like 250 LTBc or so. This way it is at least something relatively significant and not an entire thread of people outbidding each other by 1LTBc.
Not sure how this would be recived, though. And logistically I would hate having to explain over and over to people who dont read the OP that they can't bid 1 LTBc.

Re: [CLOSED] Auction for 1 Hour of Adam B. Levine's Time
@deweller Yep. That's exactly what happened. If I had only bid just ONE MORE ltbcoin. :)
Yeah, your bid made me realize people should not be allowed to place a bid that matches another bid, as it makes things ambiguous. Imagine if two people tied for first place (the bidders believing they had the #1 and #2 spots), then someone outbid those top bids. Which of the two matching bids would win the #2 spot? This is something everyone running an auction (@davidareallen, @Mike, anyone else?) should take note of -- don't allow matching bids!

This is the risk that the second bidder takes by joining someone else's bid.

Re: Bitcoin Arbitrage Trading
@sampelambi Thank You @mike
Do you have any suggestion platform at right now to do BTC Arbitrage Trading?
I do it through Ripple and the various exchanges associated with that.

Re: Bitcoin Arbitrage Trading
Most of the opportunities have dried up. All it involves is holding funds on multiple different exchanges and buying where it's cheap while simultaneously selling where it's expensive. The problem is you have a lot of costs involved in redistributing funds to the separate exchanges again.
Another way to do it is to arbitrage between currency pairs. So if LTC is priced lower against BTC than LTBc is, and you can trade LTC/BTC, LTC/LTBc, and BTC/LTBc then you can buy cheap LTC, sell that for the expensive LTBc, and sell that expensive LTBc for BTC. If you sell that BTC back into LTC you will end up with more than you started with. It's relatively simple if you can see the relationship. However, explaining it can make it sound quite difficult.

Re: CoinDesk Misappropriating LTB news breaking articles (Retweet please)
Retweeted. How bogus can you be as a "reporter" to rip off someone else's article. They even quoted LTB and didn't mention that they got the inspiration for their article from you specifically.
