It would be nice to be able to have multiple authors for articles. (It might be possible already, I don't know).

  Yes, I agree - It would be great to have an "add author" button that adds additional author dropdowns.

  Not to hijack the thread, but having an option for the editor might be a decent idea as well. Especially if we are going to make the push for independent authors and editors to come together before submission.
