Re: Quite discouraging
I think it's a mistake to look at current valuations for LTBc and make decisions about participation based on that.
Adam designed this to be a system where many people get to share in the LTBc in the early days, when it is building value. And he correctly predicted that this large initial issuance would lead to a depressed price in the near term.
Long term value totally depends on how this experiment works of course; there is risk.
Conclusion:
Contributing time & effort here only makes sense if you think real value is being created.Posted on August 9, 2014 at 9:20 PM

Re: BTC.com sold for 1,000,000$
It's a steal at around $1 million. But it would be best suited for an exchange or payment processor I think.

Re: RushWallet...Noob Perspective
That's horrible, can it be true? Storing the brainwallet phrase right there in your browser history?
Worse yet someone could compromise their webserver and steal the money from every visitor with a quick look through the server logs.
You're right @PRISMicide this sounds even worse than the site I thought was the worst: http://www.tools4noobs.com/online_tools/encrypt/

Re: Editors' Communication Thread
Noted. Though it would still be the same workflow to write straight text and add the formatting in Markdown.
Indeed, especially if I'm the only one using it!

Re: Editors' Communication Thread
I hope you don't phase out the WYSIWYG editor @rotalumis, it lets me paste in HTML in directly using that "Source" button on the top right. I doubt many people actually work in that tiny box, I suspect most of us just want to paste in and save.
I write straight up text, then add very minimal markup by hand, and paste it in. Last thing I want is to have to use some editor, or work online in a little box. I'll adapt as needed, but the less I have to, the better :)
