Any way to calculate?
I may have promised something I can't deliver. I wrote an article, and promised 10% of LTBc reward to go to a contributor who made an image. But I'm not sure how much to send!
So I wonder, how much of the amount I was given today was from that article - any way to figure it out?
I think I'm just being forgetful here, wasn't there some spreadsheet on google drive?

Re: Thai?
pfffftt
they have this HTML5 code for the page, and if you add one tag it will display Thai

I built enough Thai websites to know it can work if html tag added as shown - Perhaps making a subforum for difficult languages would allow this strategy?
I's same problem for many other scripts of course, not just Thai.

Re: Dogeparty! Counterparty on the Doge Blockchain! Proof of Burn? Or Proof of Charity?
Proof of Charity is ambitious and bright and has an undeniable appeal. But seems like all sorts of issues may pop up too.
How to choose the charity? What's makes a charity a "good choice" anyway? Is it related to the type of charity? The administrative overhead or inefficiency? The location of the charity or where it is based/regulated?
Also as @dpc suggests, it changes the incentive structure. Picking popular charities should increase participation right? Do I care about this or am I simply willing to give a little to a good cause?
Proof of burn still sounds a bit crazy. But there is no doubting people's motivation when they participate.

Re: TIL....CAPTCHA and Proof of Human
Yeah CAPTCHAs suck. Everyone knows it. I struggle with them daily.
Simple math problems and interpreting slightly ambiguous text works better, but some real humans cannot do those either. Of course, anyone who cannot solve "2 + five = ?" might not really need to access your site if there's something of value there which requires authentication.
Better still is to require a task via the GUI. This excludes only the text browsers - which are more common than most people realize, but often not an issue for a website. Examples include dragging and dropping (req javascript) or moving slider bars.

Re: is it safe to base LTBcoin on doge?
I think it's a wonderful idea. For those who don't have confidence in DOGE, this should be an easy port to any scrypt (litecoin) clone. Not that I can think of any that I would have confidence in aside from DOGE frankly, including Litecoin.

Re: If your computer crashed now, how many coins would you loose?
My system is not good for everyone, but works for me, so here it is. BTW, paper wallets are not a great solution for many of us, because if you want to keep some to be spent, you need to have wallet on your machine so you avoid keeping it all online. Also many coins I keep only temporarily, until I have enough to send to an exchange.
I use a simple script that:
- encrypts .dat files (filenames hard coded into the script) by using openssl
- copies these to a couple folders
One folder is a google drive folder, using the app for OSX, and it gets auto synced up to Google. The other is one I like better called Seacloud. Same idea as Google really, but it allows you to be more secure. On the other hand it's a small company, so if it goes away one day, I'll still have a copy on Google.
If you don't trust Google, and don't wanna run the Seacloud app (which is some ugly java) and don't like the aternatives (spideroak? BTSync to somewhere?) you could DIY the old fashioned way and use rsync to copy to Amazon S3 account.
