Hey guys/gals, my name is Matt and I've been studying bitcoin behind the scenes since it's 2010. I'm a materials scientist, UI/UX designer and entrepreneur. I formally worked as a process engineer specializing in the development of thin film material.

In a recent former life I worked in a team of two to develop a hybrid social network that combined core attributes of twitter and facebook into a localized network. Unfortunately, the idea never took as it happens with most social startups. Since then I've spent a large amount of my time studying cryptocurrencies and the problems we need to solve in order to eliminate friction in adoption. I feel the world needs easier ways to mine cryptographic currencies that are outside of computational mining, which is what has led me to LTBcoin.

  • Re: How Does this Work? Let's Talk User Experiance!

Ok wow that's awesome this is sounds great so far. So glad to know this is going the mobile direction, web is dying fast.

I love the idea of the pushing content to the entire network via gamification, but it you want to gamify it needs to have a good social core.

What about a RT feature? I think if you really want to get 2.0 with this the user experience should be social. The bitcoin community doesn't have a great mobile social platform outside of twitter this could be connected to twitter and facebook so users can still push content to other networks, but given the amount of exclusive content that will be generated on LTB it would make sense for it to have its own social platform, which will help the network as whole generate great content. It would really allow the inside network to be in the know before other networks, making LTB more valuable to users.

Not to mention it would help users to generate LTBcoins by a variety of avenues you could implement.

What about easter eggs inside the app that are like little treasure chests? We could add elements into shows that lead them to secrets buried inside the app, so users are more intrigued to listen to content in search of clues. Not to mention they'll have to be paying attention.

I'm kinda envisioning a soundcloud type system with more social elements.

Here are screen shots from the upcoming open source, federated, locally encrypted multi-currency web-wallet called CounterWallet https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ids8jwnfd8ijz3g/G7Rm_z8wTH

Awesome!!!! Oh man, I can't wait for that to come out.

Wow that web wallet looks amazing and the design is simple, uncrowded and seems intuitive. What currencies will it support?

I like honesty, but what about adding something that describes the vision?

Content Created or something like that.

  • Re: Here before the LTBCoin Launch? Get your part of the initial disbursement for the Initial Community

Everything sounds great so far, but how is this thing actually going to work? I'm really interested in the user/creator experience.

Here's the vision I've been thinking of and I added some features to help organize content.
This is just an idea, I'm still trying to wrap my head around your vision.
Collect ideas for program distribution.Users vote on the type of content they would like published.Newbie Info, HowTo's, Trading, General News, Altcoins, Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc. <- These become shows and distribution channels.Teams are assembled some team members could fill multiple roles across more than one program.Reporters collect/create content  submit to providers(Reporters upload content to the network (text, audio, video, etc.)Determine best content (LTB Community sorts through content to determine most interesting news)Collaborate on content (Community distributes news to content creator groups)Publish inside network (Content is published for review inside network for peer review)Network publishes content publicly across its channels (Youtube, iTunes, Websites, Blogs, etc.)Content creators and reporters are paid after the week is over based on site traffic.
The overall idea is that the news generated is based on what the community wants to hear about.  Content is provided on demand.  Funds could be allocated for creating certain stories that might require expenses, I'm not sure on how to handle that.

I am currently working on a podcast and I'm looking for help in pulling it all together let me know if you're interested in lending a hand.
