  • Re: LTBCoin for SEO and google adwords setup

My SEO skills are nothing to call home about, but I've worked a lot with Adwords and consider myself quite proficient. If you are willing to split the tasks send me PM and we can discuss.

  • All Android podcast apps I try fail with LTB

I used Pocket Casts, but the shows many times appeared on the app a few days after they were released in the website.

I've then switched to DoggCatcher. The shows appear faster, but some don't ever do and I've had a couple of mistaken shows (it says it is one show and then it is another, quite weird).

Before that I had tried Stitcher. I know I was not happy for some reason, but I can't remember well why :)

    How do you do it?

  • Re: 10 $ free for all !!!

@rob Am I crazy for thinking free money is ALWAYS a scam?

    Nope, this screams ponzi!

Is zerocoin still being worked on? Last I heard the project itself was a great idea and was being worked on, but either didn't look like it was going anywhere or was abandoned altogether. This looks like it's the latest news and that was posted a month ago. The content of Peter Todd's comment is kinda disheartening as well that they will be trying to profit from establishing a business model around the coin.

I don't know about the status. Last I heard, an open source implementation was coming. True anonymity perhaps, but it's vaporware for now. I do know that there's considerable interest on the Namecoin team to use this. Namecoin is difficult to use anonymously - baking in anonymity by default would be huge.

For now, Darkcoin and Monero look like the leaders eh? For my money, I'd go with Darkcoin, just because I've always liked it, and because they keep improving and tweaking all the time. And we can easily keep up with their progress by reading the great articles here from @fernando

Thanks, glad you enjoy them (I enjoy yours also!). And yes, we are continuously improving and we have many cool things on store. Just today we launched a new update (nothing major, some improvements in Darksend to prevent attcks and a way to increase rewards to masternodes with time) and we keep working.

Regarding Zerocoin they always said it was a business. In fact, I remember a post in which they said they had some delays because setting up the corporation was taking more time than expected... I don't have a huge problem with that, but the truth is that their technology is untested. Even if they deliver there could be problems down the road that nobody knows about now.

@alchemix Just remember the vast majority (99%+) of Alt coins are essentially worthless.

Not the one with filling some niche Bitcoin will never be able to provide. Bitcoin will never ever become anonime. Anon coin that will get furthest will get quite a share among cryptos. Since lots of rich people love anonymity.

I believe one of cryptonote coins will take this share and Monero is currently ahead. But since cryptonote coins are just a babies, still in early alpha you cant really say.

Not only rich people like anonymity. Bitcoin's public ledger is great for many things, but it doesn't bring privacy. It is true that with some practices the risks can be reduced a lot, but things like Coinbase banning accounts because they were sending funds to gambling sites make me think that it is better to use more private coins for many things.

My bet is with Darkcoin because it is based in well known concepts and forked from Bitcoin (easier to use current infrastructure), but I'm a member of the team and obviously biased :)

Darcoin have right now huge advantage since is fork of bitcoin. As i said before, Cryptonote coins are all little babies and bet on them is more risky but with risk beside lose can also come profit. Absolutely, my bet is somewhere else, but there is merit in a few CN coins.

  • Re: Reddit's Plans

@omnibus I think this will be very popular among reddit users, if it's a 10% share distribution I'm curious to know what the legal side of it is (not that I really care fundamentally).

With LTBc I pretty sure no one has ground to go into legal action for anything but with a user base the size that reddit has and the value of their site content it will probably raise some questions how to treat the distribution.

That is a very good comment. With those 50 million USD they have raised I'm sure they can pay a lawyer of two, it is gonna be interesting. To the value of that 10% of Reddit you must add the fact that most people don't user their own name. My guess is that anyone willing to claim their stake is gonna need to ID themselves.

  • Re: Reddit's Plans

@adjiadjo they claim "This idea has never been done before" , let's wait and see , is it really new concept or not :)

They can say what they want, but to me it sounds really similar to LTBc. They give a specific amount (10% of shares), so this could be an asset that is distributed in small pieces represented by tokens. They say they will reward those who have helped, so this could be a first distribution based on karma. Then periodic distributions.
