Re: How else should the Audience "Mine" LTB? - Proof of Tip and Proof of Comment
I actually like the proof of consumption idea. People love it when they can do simple/easy tasks and get paid for it, even if its a tiny amount of money. Like at EarnFreeBitcoins.com, (one of my sites), users must spend at least a couple minutes (about 1 - 3) visiting a sponsored website, and in return they get credited a very small amount of BTC, which eventually builds up into a payment to their wallet. People absolutely eat this kind of stuff up. Like were talking 150,000 + people in the past 2 months alone and thats just from my service, there are dozens of other similar sites and faucets kicking around.
Another good one is affiliate programs. Advertise the site and bring in new readers/listeners/community members, and then receive a small amount of LTBC for your efforts.

Re: Introduce yourself!
I'm Nick, web developer and owner of a new (and currently one-man) startup called IronClad Web Technologies. I'm the developer working on creating the new version of LetsTalkBitcoin.com, and I also own/operate EarnFreeBitcoins.com and have numerous other crypto related projects in the works, both freelance and in-house applications.
Im located in B.C, Canada (born & raised) and am currently focused on starting/building my career and business, as well as creating cool and useful web apps for the bitcoin and broader crypto currency community. Can't wait to see what kinds of things we all come up with next!

Re: Tracking the Latest Coin
I think a lot of us are eyeing user-created-assets that represent a basket of currencies. The issuer basically takes in Bitcoin funds and gives back their token. They invest the Bticoin funds into the best altcoins they believe will succeed, and at the end of each month the profit above the initial is sent as a dividend to the holders of the tokens.
The person doing the managing would charge maybe a 1% fee in a competitive market, but for someone really good at this you could probably get away with lots more. It could be convertible for the basket of underlying currencies but that seems like a real pain so more likely it would just represent the value of future dividends.
I was thinking about something similar today actually. You can pretty much take anything and divide it into shares that people can invest in... How about crowd funding a mortgage of your house, where instead of your mortgage payment going to the bank, it gets divided amongst all holders of your asset token. As long as you make good on your monthly payments, the tokens will have value, and they can also be freely traded on a market.
