  • Re: Problem with iTunes feed and Podcasts iOS app

    @turner3d There are issues outside of iOS and the Applesphere as well. Currently, the umbrella podcast feed XML as delivered from feedburner is entirely empty, containing only feed metadata with no items - http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheDailyBitcoinShow?format=xml - my guess is that there may have been an issue with the local feed-generating script at the last feedburner sync. If memory serves correctly, feedburner only updates once per day and, if the feed happened to be down during that update, you're pretty much out of luck for the day.

    The live feed generated by the site (/rss/feed/blog/?...) appears to be fine now.

    yeah, a bunch of the feeds appear to be broken. working on this now..

  • Re: How do you deal with plagiarism?

    damn, that sucks. I wouldnt be surprised if the majority of their stories were just ripped off from other sources (a lot of news sites seem to do this..)

  • Re: Bitcoin Doco News?

    @torstenendofmoney

    @cryptonaut theres the "Rise and Rise of Bitcoin" documentary which looked really promising... was supposed to come out back in april. Its not almost september and no word on the actual release. Kind of retarded IMO. Their whole excuse is they are coming up with "distribution deals" to get it to as many people as possible... which still makes no sense to me because they could just throw it up on youtube + a torrent for free and it would be available to millions of people instantly, and they would probably get a ton of donations + ad revenue if money is what they are concerned about... now by the time it comes out its going to be soooo outdated

    no. sorry, it doesnt work like that, mate.

    care to elaborate?

  • Re: Quick way to tip LTBcoin on forum ?

    @littleshibe I like the idea, my only worry is it looking "spammy" ? the forum here is nice and clean looking so I would hate to see it get cluttered with tip info. Not sure what could be done or if anyone besides me even cares about that lol but just wanted to add my 2 cents :) I do think the ability to tip would overpower any inconvenience of the visual.

    I saw one website where the upvote arrow was directly linked to tips, if you upvoted you sent them 1 penny worth of bitcoin within that action automatically, not saying that's ideal solution but I liked the concept a lot.

    Yeah, what im thinking is it would just add a "verified!" text on your post instead of a bot creating a new post for the verificaton message. so shouldnt be as bad

    for the upvote idea, we are kind of doing something similar actually. "likes" will be replaced with upvotes and downvotes. If you upvote somebody, it adds a little bit to their weekly Proof of Participation (PoP) point.s Those points are what determine your weekly LTBcoin payout. However if you downvote somebody it takes a little away from their PoP score, but at the same time also takes a little away from your own. I think adam described it as like "giving someone a bearhug and jumping off a cliff"

  • Re: Quick way to tip LTBcoin on forum ?

    @littleshibe Cool ! that post would have just got you a tip good sir, looking forward to it :)

    heheh thanks

    what do you think of reddit tip-bot like commands in posts (e.g /tip 0.01 BTC littleshibe) in addition to a tip button?

  • Re: Quick way to tip LTBcoin on forum ?

    Yep, this feature is in the works. stay tuned ;)

  • Re: Is there a way to apply for moderator?

    Not formally at the moment.. I will talk with adam about it and get back to you. Hasnt been a huge need for it yet TBH

  • Re: A couple of Newbie questions

    @bitsol Another thing, you should have created a new thread for your question.

    the post is all the way back from march lol

  • Re: New users not showing up

    @hesham3del

    @cryptonaut

    @lazybee Thats some coincidence, very hard to believe.

    A lot of last week's new users might have been disappointed with the return and gave up.

    thats possible. Another thing to consider... you get 2 PoP points as a one time bonus just for registering and adding your LTBcoin compatible address. Several people from last week could have just been users who registered, added their address, and then havnt come back (yet). Im looking at the actual reports generated right now, and its definitely not the exact same list of users (this stuff will be available to you guys soon when the leaderboards and personal stats are up on the site)

    This week or the coming week ?

    ideally this week, but no absolute promises :p
