Re: PETAMINE.XCP - Mine bitcoin with your counterwallet! [Vote Complete]
@cryptozio I have invested 0.2 btc a couple of weeks ago and now I have 0.08?
I dont control the price man, its all over here: https://www.havelockinvestments.com/order.php?symbol=PETA and yeah the price has gone down quite a bit the past couple weeks.
0.08 is how much i would get if I sold the shares purchased from your investment. If I gave you the full 0.2 back, I would have to pay out 0.12 out of my own pocket
to clarify.. the price is updated on the original thread every day as well as on the public spreadsheet that lists daily dividends/reinvestment

Re: Mark Karpeles of mtGox starting a new company?!
@cryptonaut it blows my mind that this guy seemingly got away with it all with barely any consequence. like holy shit
I do not get what you are really saying.
Mark Karpeles is the guy that ran the Mt. Gox bitcoin exchange. Not sure if you have been keeping up on it, but somehow something like 800,000 bitcoins were "lost"/"stolen" and it was this huge scandal. Nobody even really knows what happened yet, but a shit ton of people lost a lot of money and it caused a big price crash. Thats about $500 million dollars lost by the way.

Re: Is there any site to sell FLDC cause I didnt found any
@pooktwo @Josh1776 the counterparty exchange is very flaky :( We are working hard trying to get on other exchanges because of this problem. We are only a month old so many of the exchanges are doing their research on us before accepting, but all think it is a great coin and a good idea :)
Another limitation some exchanges are having is they are not fully counterparty ready yet.
Have you been in contact with the guys at Melotic yet?

Re: Regarding LTBcoin for the audience and associated problems
Regarding the Magic Words... there just isnt really any good solution for proving that you actually listened to the entire podcast. I guess this really comes down to how each individual podcast goes about giving the word or phrase. Like you said, MMM has done some interesting things for this, but on the other hand the LTB show makes it pretty easy :p @adam thoughts?
For the article comments.. I noticed this to. The problem is that its a bit more difficult to manage since the comments are actually outside of our system (using Disqus). One thing we might be able to do is incorporate Disqus' existing upvote/downvote system into the reward calculations.. I will look into it. In the mean time make sure to downvote any spammy comments you see.
As far as the quality of the forum posts goes.. yep its a constant battle. I think when we get the current "likes" system replaced with upvoting/downvoting it should help with this. If you downvote somebody, it will take away from their weekly rewards (Proof of Participation points), and heavily downvoted posts will simply be buried. Downvotes will also take a little bit away from yourself, to discourage just mass downvoting everyone.
I like the idea of having some sort of reputation system factored in as well. Maybe even something like you don't get any rewards for your posts until you have received a certain threshold of likes/upvotes, which must be given by other people who have also reached that threshold (so you cant just create a bunch of accounts and upvote yourself)

[BOUNTY] 50K LTBC - Definitive Markdown Formatting Guide
Hey everyone
Looking to have somebody create a better guide to markdown formatting. Below the "Live Preview" box, if you click on "See formatting guide", it will slide open to show you how to do some basic formatting.
The current guide is a nice start, but its also incomplete (missing things like line breaks, tables etc.) . Looking for a more fleshed out guide that is well written and complete with examples. You may use the existing guide as a starting point.
Submissions can be made via a Google Drive document or similar
Additionally, I am offering an extra 15K LTBcoin for every language translation made for the new formatting guide (not the existing one).
